Ruth's Chris Steak House

My cousin was visiting from NY and took me here for my birthday because she was craving steak. Ruth Chris in NY is fabulous. She ordered steak medium rare but there was no pink at all. They were quick to replace but this time steak was rare. Just too bloody. Cousin could not eat it so they took it off our bill and gave us 2 desserts on the house. My sea bass was good but something tasted too salty. Maybe the sauteed onions and mushrooms? Maybe the brussel sprouts? The service was outstanding but the chef must have had an off day. Too expensive to not get exactly what you want.

Our servers were Mark and Tristan. They did a great job.

What can we say that others haven’t says about RC’s? Consistently and worth the splurge is the best I can offer. We hadn’t been to this location but we’re celebrating a special occasion and enjoyed the steak and wonderful service and nicely tucked in location in Del Mar.

It definitely did not disappoint. All the menus that were ordered came perfectly cooked as ordered. Really very good meat. It is expensive but it was definitely worth it.

The food was delicious. The service outstanding. We arrived a half hour before our reservation and it was no problem. They seated us right away. They gave us a beautiful window seat. The waiter and Support staff were outstanding. Appetizers salad and main course were delicious. The plates were very hot, but I didn’t touch it. I was afraid when they warned us it was 500° that would make me wanna touch it but I didn’t. Great place to have for anniversary or special occasion

Great restaurant Ruth Chris in Del Mar is very nice great atmosphere great service Ruth Chris steaks are alway delicious the mashed potatoes are good the mac n cheese was delicious very creamy my wife loved her fillet mignon and lobster tail was sweet however she did not care for the lobster bisque and thought the au gratin potatos were good Overall very good not great little pricey but it is fancy and parking was easy

The BEST Ruth's Chris. Excellent and consistent food. Cozy and intimate atmosphere. Service was especially exceptional. Someone always made sure our table was clean, and drinks were filled. Managers came to our table and made sure we were happy. Patrick, our server was great. We will always come here when we visit San Diego.
