We had a group of 8 who celebrated an anniversary and were seated in a private room which they were able to allow us to dine separately from the main dining room. Our server was Brandon and he was absolutely amazing! He checked on us frequently, was friendly, attentive, polite despite us being a little more animated than most guests of theirs. Everyone had an amazing time, the food was on point, our service couldn’t be better, and the ambiance of the room we were seated at was absolutely PERFECT! We would come back to dine here in a NY second! Also, their Happy Hour was also 2nd to none! An easy 5-star review for Carver’s!!!

Came for a romantic dinner with my spouse and we were very satisfied with the food, service, and subdued elegance of the restaurant. They definitely serve a nice cut of steak with a lot of great choices and classic side dishes that are just as delicious.

Always an excellent place to visit. Their early dining menu is a great reason for an earlier dinner. One star less because our recent visit had us at a lovely quiet table for our date night with only a few guests in the place, until a loud and rambunctious birthday party came next to us. Who then promptly discussed fairy smut and other things, and called another person on speaker to get their input. We grinned at each other and tried to ignore. Every other visit has been spectacular and will always come here.

A lovely environment and everyone was so nice. I got the New York and it was very tender and juicy. Also celebrated my birthday with an apple cinnamon bread pudding! Brandon was amazing! Thank you for an amazing dinner.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Carver’s Steakhouse exceeded all expectations! The atmosphere was elegant yet inviting, and the service was top-notch from start to finish. The steaks were cooked to absolute perfection—tender, flavorful, and expertly seasoned. The sides and cocktails complemented the meal beautifully, making for an unforgettable dining experience. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or just craving a quality steak, Carver’s is the place to go. Highly recommend!

This was a pretty good place to eat. We came for the early dinner special because it was a little cheaper and it was good food. The atmosphere is nice and kinda fancy feeling but in an older building type of way. The staff was very nice and tentative. The food came out quick and was cooked as ordered. For the price the portions were a little on the smaller side but still filing. I would recommend trying it out.

Carver's is old school Rancho Bernardo. It was a favorite haunt of ours when we lived in the area. It is getting long in the tooth though. Same furniture from when we frequented nearly 15 years ago. It still packs them in though, when we arrived there was hardly a space to be found in the parking lot. It does die down early though as the place was pretty empty when we departed at 9:00 PM. Customer service is stellar. From the hostess that greeted us, to the waitress who served us, all were outstanding. Menu prices are good considering entrees come inclusive with soup or salad and a side. I opted for the 18 oz Chicago rib-eye and my wife ordered the petite prime rib. She enjoyed hers and although I attacked my rib-eye like a starving dog at dinner it took a lot of energy to cut through the steak. I would best define it as chewy. Garlic mash was good but the wedge was mostly white lettuce with very little of anything else. My wife on the other hand said her wedge was smothered in dressing, bacon and blue cheese. Corkage is very reasonable at $15 a bottle. And for those that enjoy wine but don't bring their own, Carvers has a fairly extensive wine list with decently priced wines. It was fun to visit an old favorite. I am sure we will return and perhaps next time I will have a better experience with the steak and salad.

Excellent food and service. We had open face prime rib sandwich, tomato basil soup (a bit on a salty side), spinach salad with tenderloin tips (u will love it if you love tender juicy meat) and an impressive chicken cordon bleu with au gratin potatoes.
