Absolutely DELICIOUS food my wife and I have had in a very long time. The calamari was the best i have ever had - cooked to perfection without being rubbery. Even the sauce that came with it - it flattered my tongue every time I ate it. The flavors were fresh and spot on. Had lobster and prime rib eye steak - they hit the spot as well. The server was Tim. He was very attentive and courteous, however at one point it felt like he wanted us to leave by taking away our plates before even asking if we were done eating. Either way, this is a great place to celebrate a special occassion. Keep in mind it is expensive, however. Recommend you make a reservation atleast 2 days in advance.

Sutter Street Steakhouse in Folsom exceeded our expectations in every way. The warmth of the dining area, combined with the cozy yet upscale ambiance, made for a perfect evening. We were seated next to the beautiful wine room, which added an elegant touch to the experience. Our server, Tim, was an absolute joy—attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his ribeye with garlic mashed potatoes and prawns. The steak was perfectly seared, tender, and juicy, while the garlic mashies were creamy and packed with flavor. I had the chicken with mushrooms, served with those same delicious mashed potatoes, and the pan jus sauce was rich and flavorful, tying the dish together beautifully. To start, I had a mojito, which was the perfect blend of mint and citrus—refreshing and a great way to kick off the night. Having moved from the Bay Area, we compared Sutter Street to House of Prime Rib. While the experience was quite similar, we found the steaks here more choice than prime, but the quality was still excellent. Overall, the atmosphere, service, and food made for a fantastic dining experience, and we will definitely be back!

We were outside and got a little bit forgotten but the sunset views were amazing! Onion rings were over done and the bread was cold and hard. Steaks cooked to perfection, the cocktails were very tasty! We went for my birthday and the lava cake we got was great but no molten chocolate in the middle, I guess thats what you get when its free? The personalized and signed bday card was cool.

I’m giving Sutter Street Steakhouse an overall rating of 5 stars. While I’m rating the food a 4, it was still enjoyable—just a bit too sweet for my personal taste. I ordered several dishes, and while they were well-prepared, the sweetness didn’t fully suit me. We visited for my husband's birthday, and the thoughtful touch of giving him a card signed by the staff made the experience extra special. For appetizers, we had oysters and blackened prawns, both delicious. I also tried their soup of the day, a carrot and ginger soup with coconut cream. It was unique and flavorful, but again, a little too sweet for me. As for the steak, they definitely live up to their reputation. The steak was cooked and seasoned perfectly—exactly what you would expect from a great steakhouse. The ambiance is a solid 5. The music wasn’t too loud, and the romantic setting made for a lovely evening. Service was also exceptional, and it’s clear the staff takes pride in their work. Both the manager and supervisor were very attentive, even stepping in to assist when needed. Lastly, the pricing was reasonable, especially compared to other steakhouses we’ve been to. Overall, a great experience and we will definitely be back!

Very welcoming atmosphere and top-notch service. I had their ribeye with mashed potatoes and was very satisfied with the dinner. Great flavor, perfectly cooked, and you get half garlic cloves that were incredibly fresh. Our waiter was superb in his attentiveness to detail, and our drinks never hit bottom. Next time I am back out this way I know where I will be eating.

Had the surf and turf dinner. The steak came out to perfection with a awesome crusted outer layer. The lobster tail was great. Excellent atmosphere and great customer service. Would definitely recommend.

It's very hit & miss here with the quality of service. Tonight was a miss. We felt very unattended to with the service we received. For example, we had to ask 3 times to ask for our water cups to be refilled. Even the manager walked by several times without acknowledging our needs. We finally stopped one of the bussers if we could get a carafe of water so we couldn't get our waters filled appropriately. He was super quick and helpful. We had similar service with the bread, appetizers and wine. The saving grace waa rhe quality of the food. Outstanding presentation and flavor. Steak and the salmon were cooked perfectly. The calamari was lihhtky cooked to perfection. Unfortunately, the service was not...Very disappointing this time.....

Beautiful interior design, fantastic service, fantastic food. Origin story on this restaurant is they are from up in Chico as the 5th Street Steakhouse which I've been to many times. They absolutely live up to the original for sure. Went in on a Friday around 5:30pm and this place was already almost fully packed with customers. Snagged my favorite dish — "Nick's Grill" (Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Spinach, Stone Ground Mustard Sauce, Crumbled Blue Cheese) w/ one slight alteration of swapping out the cut of meat for the 14oz rib eye. Even though it arrived at our table lukewarm (again, they were slammed with a lot of customers) the food was spot on in flavor. In the past their salmon was also very good...you really can't go wrong with this restaurant.
