My friend and I walked in without a reservation, and we were so grateful for how accommodating the staff was in getting us a seat. The service throughout the evening was exceptional—everyone was friendly, funny, and genuinely attentive. We felt really welcomed. As for the food, it was really enjoyable! My friend had the lamb, which she really liked, and I had the ribeye, which was flavorful. The Brussels sprouts Caesar and the Wagyu-wrapped appetizer were both nice additions to the meal. They also served us a sweet little hot chocolate in a shot glass when we were finished with our meal. That was a great addition for my sweet tooth. While everything was tasty, I think there’s a little room for even more flavor depth in some dishes. Still, we left very satisfied. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and I’d definitely recommend this place. Looking forward to coming back!

Moxie offers an experience unlike anything else you can get in Sacramento. Everything about our night spent here was incredible, but the true star of the show was our server. This charming man greeted us with compliments and wit the moment we walked in. Watching him work was like watching a maestro conduct a symphony. I have personally worked in the restaurant industry for over 7 years and have never seen someone handle the floor with such elegance, efficiency, and personality as this man. A true master of hospitality, he made my lady and I feel like we were someone special. Our drinks were great, our food was cooked to perfection , and the ambiance was warm and nostalgic, but the service elevated the night into something truly special. If you are looking for an intimate dinner with someone special or loved ones, Moxie should be at the top of your list.

Took my wife to dinner for her birthday. We had an amazing time! Our server was great and Adam was amazing and very nice to us. My wife loved every minute of it. Prices were reasonable as well!

Such a pleasant place. We were greeted with kindness like we had walked into a family dinner in a cozy place. We sat next to a gorgeous wall of people of all ages kissing. We were serenaded with a list of mouth watering choices and when we were unsure they offered to mix and match based on the flavors we selected. It was magical.

Worst experience. Had a reservation for 8pm yesterday. Got there and they stated they didn’t have a table for us some we sit at the bar and don’t get our table until almost 20 minutes later. Once we’re finally seated they give us water then take almost another 10 to give us our sodas. One of the main guys who I assume may be the owner walks over and rambles off the specials to us and wouldn’t let us get a word in and then abruptly walks off. We don’t hear from anyone for 15 minutes after that to get our order taken. It’s only when we flag the waiter down and say we want to just pay for our drinks and go that the main guy comes up and states “ you can order now I’ve been waiting for you” we literally were watching them watch us for 15 minutes straight and didn’t look at our menus once. We had been ready to order. So we decide we still just want to leave so they bring us a receipt that WAS NOT even a real receipt. They had receipt paper and wrote down a number of what our drinks cost. Which was 38 dollars for 5 sodas for all we know they could’ve over charged us and just put a number they wanted us to pay. It's an intimate atmosphere with candles and dim lighting.Impeccable service, front door opened for me, then guided to my table, seat pulled out, napkin placed. Many main course options beyond the menu. Delicious food, plating perfect. Wonderful with friends, couples, special occasions; not kids. Lovely.

It is patently clear from the conversations throughout the restaurant and kitchen that the attentive owner and staff care deeply about the dining experience of all their guests. The experience is worth the high price point. I will certainly return if I am ever back in Sacramento on a weekend. My order ($85+tip): - No drinks - Grilled Eggplant Appetizer - Ribeye Steak in a Blue Cheese Reduction Entrée - Mango Sorbet Dessert
