Excellent brunch! Great menu with options beyond the normal brunch regulars. We started with the Brie hot plate which was exceptional. Our group has the croque madame, omelette and Waldorf salad. All great! Top it off with great mimosas and exceptional service!

Came for the dine downtown! The portions were a decent size and the menu was well explained. Our server was wonderful and we were able to get a seat at the bar with no reservations

First time here. We came for brunch. The ambience was modern and inviting. The service was spectacular, one of the best in a few months. The food was above average with great taste and presentation. Overall, a very nice spot and will be coming back for dinner too.

I eat out a lot, but it is rare that I find such good food on a random walk-in. I was nearby, hungry, the restaurant seemed busy, and I decided to walk in. I was served a fantastic meal by an excellent server. The halibut fillet was cooked to perfection. The beet salad had robust flavor, and I was very, very impressed. On a whim, I ordered the bread pudding. It was also excellent.

Wonderful restaurant! My husband and I came during the brunch menu, and ordered the deviled eggs and the steak sandwich. I would go back just to eat that steak sandwich, it was delicious! The fries on the side were so good we couldn’t stop eating them. Great ambience, wonderful staff. We will be back to try the dinner menu!

Ever since seeing the veggie lasagna with fresh pasta on the menu, I was very much looking forward to trying this place--as someone who makes his own pasta. But sadly, the food left a lot to be desired. The bruschetta came on a beautiful and delicious bread and I liked the twist of using baba gahnoush but the cherry tomatoes took away from freshness and melding of flavors you typically get with classic bruschetta. I originally ordered the beet salad but caught a glimpse of the wedge and changed my mind. I like my salad with light dressing but the ratio here was off. And once I cut into it, water from the wedge made it impossible to enjoy the dressing further. I was very excited for the marinated grapes as I make roasted grapes for a variety of things. There were two. I don't mind the small plate, high ticket cuisine but it has to deliver. The lasagna was definitely the best dish. The bechamel was rich but not overwhelming. If you like mushrooms, this is the dish for you. I think the sheets of pasta should have been thicker. I make mine paper thin for red sauce pasta but in a richer sauce, they can get lost a bit, which these did. But the pecorino crumble was TDF. How I break down my review: 1 Star - Never again. 2 Stars - Probably not, but maybe. 3 Stars - Would try again. Not sure I would recommend. 4 Stars - Very good, look forward to returning. 5 Stars - Amazing, top in its category. Om nom nom!

Great location and ambience, very stylish interior, and an awesome Wagyu steak menu. I did go with the halibut, which looked great but was overly dry for what I'd expect for the price. Desert was great and service excellent. Will come back to try other items next time I'm in town!

Frog and Slim is one of my favorite restaurants in Sac. Amazing and knowledgeable staff, fantastic food, and awesome atmosphere. Every dish here is great, but I feel like their cocktails are what is destination worthy. I love how they only play classic jazz and swing.
