The Real Deal is Black Angus Steakhouse which delivers on taste and old time charm! First let’s kick it off with the service, food and service was solid, no issues, good waiter. The atmosphere is like an old western saloon, the building is older so the restroom you really notice it but overall I like the old fashion look might need a little update in bathrooms. Now onto the last and most important part The FooD, we had the Tomahawk Steak dinner fed three of us it came with app, 4 sides, the Tomahawk steak and a dessert for $129, I was impressed with the steak solid 8/10 a little more seasoning and cook asked for was medium received medium well. I was happy with the steak for this type of restaurant. The app was a sampler which was well done with the chicken strips being the most impressive 8/10. The sides were Mac n Cheese, Asparagus, Broccoli and Au Gratin Potatoes which were all delicious 9/10. The dessert we had three of them everyone enjoyed at the table especially the cookie with ice cream 9/10. Overall, it has been a long time since I’ve been to Black Angus but I was really impressed of what came out on the plates from flavor to portions. I will be back!

I purchased the $10 table celebration packet for my boyfriend last day of work retirement. He was truly excited and happy when arrived to our table. The food and service was EXCELLENT.

The food was delicious. It brought back lots of thanksgiving memories, when I was little they had a branch near us, sadly that turned into a wok restaurant. I am so glad I found this one. The pie had a funny texture. The bread is a may zing. Can't wait to come back. Thank you Black Angus staff.

The last time we dined at this Black Angus location was 3 years ago. As far as the lobby and dining room furniture, nothing has changed. The furniture is old and worn. Not an inviting atmosphere. Our service was great although it appeared that our server was responsible for all of the tables (approximately 7-8) plus she was the bartender. She was very pleasant and did a great job getting to everyone efficiently. These days it is rare to see someone tasked with that much responsibility, to have such a great attitude and to perform so well! The food was good, not great. Bread was cold and dry, salad was mediocre, potato skins were cold, shrimp side with the steak was so-so. Steak was good, and cooked the way we requested. We probably won’t be returning to this particular Black Angus restaurant.

Old preferred steakhouse of mine, especially because it doesn't break the bank. The steaks aren't the best in Sacramento but they are still good. (On a recent visit, it was quite disappointing. The steaks looked like old leftover steaks, and the fried, soup, and bread weren't fresh. The salad was fresh and cold which I commended them for in the past.) This place has my favorite steakhouse bread, the molasses bread. If you don't like sweet bread though, it won't be for you . I like getting two sides with a nice ribeye. I prefer the Caesar salad and I think they chill it so it stays nice and crisp. I also really like the steak soup although it is admittedly rather salty. Add on a deal like the fall trio to get two extra sides of meat / seafood, or the summer grill to get that and watermelon and it really is the best deal for a steak meal around. The servers are all polite and helpful.

Walking distance from Hotel. I had lobster, potatoes au graitin and grilled green beans. My wife had ribs with the au gratin and asparagus. Both dishes were very good. We also had appetizer of Crab cakes Service was quick and friendly

What happened to Black Angus? It has been years since I last ate at one. We were sat promptly for a Tuesday night at 6 pm. Then it went downhill. I don't know if they have staffing issues or if it was an employee issue. They brought us water, and we ordered our food right away, plus a drink. The drink eventually came. Our food came out after about 25 minutes after we ordered. Our dinner salads came at the same time. Our steaks were cooked incorrectly, and one was sent back. We didn't see our server the whole time the food was being redone. There are no offers for any steak sauce or other condiments. The manger brought out the redone steak. Prepared correctly the second time. Again, our server is nowhere to be found. Actually, no servers can be seen. We asked for a box, and we were asked if we wanted desert and declined. We got our bill, and the server disappeared again for 15 minutes plus. Our bill was incorrect, overcharged, and a soup I didn't get. Went to the front ask for a manager. Got our server who said they couldn't change our bill, only a manager could. They left and then came back with the correct bill. And stated " I would have caught that if I gave you the bill" they did give us the bill. And the kicker no manger came out. Then, another employee walks out of a room eating food at the front desk. I am in total disbelief about how bad it was. I don't know if Door Dash and others have made it where service is just not important. Or if the whole place is just a wreck. Overall, it was disappointing. My advice is to go to Cattleman's

I ordered a combo with shrimp, lobster and steak, but when we got home, we discovered that there was no lobster, so I can’t recommend this place, it doesn’t worst your money UPDATE After this review they wrote me by email to solve this problem. I was really surprised cause they gave me loyalty account for my next visit) Thanks for you attention to all of your clients❤️ Hope my next visit is gonna be better
