Gone DOWNHILL👎 since 2020!🫤 Such a shame! They had superb tacos a few years ago. Then they changed how they did their carnitas meat becoming super dry. I got nachos in 2022, off menu, my friend and I were dying at how good they were. Then in 2023 (I visit from So Cal) the nachos were barely edible..the cheese sauce was plastic and they just weren’t impressive in any way anymore. Now in Nov 2024 I’m craving a hearty Loaded Fries as winter sets in.. but look! Doesn’t look like the pics from previous years AT ALL!😠 Before they were proper loaded regular fries with Mexican toppings. Now I have a giant plate of clearly industrial frozen waffle fries from a bag (disappointing - it should say waffle fries on the menu). Super greasy so clearly not fried right. And plain ground beef on top, and again, that plastic cheese which I requested on the side, figuring it’d be bad. Wft? What makes this Mexican??? The thimble full sauces on the side? Which also weren’t good. The lame onion bit? They forgot the pico de gallo. Literally NOTHING made this any more than greasy fries, plain beef, and processed velvita-like cheese sauce☹️ I’m done. Final nail in this coffin⚰️ Too many yummy TACO TRUCKS all around Richmond that are WAY BETTER. Dang shame. This place really shone just a few years ago.

Masa Grill offers a vibrant atmosphere with excellent indoor dining options and a charming outdoor seating area. The restaurant is adorned with lush greenery, creating a refreshing and relaxing vibe. When dining here, you place your order at the counter before seating yourself and then pick up your food once it's ready. I tried their quesadillas and loaded fries, and it was incredibly filling and delicious. They also offer unique signature drinks that are both fun to order and great for photos. While there is a parking lot available, it tends to fill up quickly on weekends.

I took down my 5 star review because the smell of the perfumed cleansers they started using a year or two ago are so strong I will not eat here anymore. PLEASE understand that fragranced cleansers are Not cleaner, and 34.5 % of the population are allergic to them. Plus I don't want my nose filled with fragrance chemicals when Im eating, I can't smell or taste the food properly!

Nice place, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Alcoholic drinks available too ~ the food is good but not great, solid tacos. The Al Pastor was the standout, this place is a bit overpriced roughly $5/street taco and the steady flow of people makes service a bit slow. All in all, good spot

Great tacos!! Loved them! Nice decoration and good service. Nice drinks. On the expensive side, though, for the place. Also, even if you dine in, some drinks come in plastic cups and also plastic cutlery... not very environmentally friendly.

During my last trip, this place quickly became a staple. I ate here everyday for lunch and always had the quesabirria tacos. This place is outstanding! Cannot stress enough how good their food is. I was always on lunch so I never got to try any of their delicious looking mixed drinks, but this would be the place to come watch a game, eat some tacos, and have a few drinks.

What’s going on with Masa!? Their food and service use to be good. Now the food is sloppily tossed together and employees that behave like customers are a problem. Most of the time the food tastes fine- nothing spectacular but edible. Sometimes you’ll get a side of chips and other times you don’t. What’s problematic is if you order on DoorDash or some other food delivery service, they’ll end up leaving an item out and you won’t be refunded. I’ve ordered a bottled soda and flan before, two separate times, and have not had them in the bag. Whatever system they’re working with, it’s not working well. I don’t feel like wasting $5 and not getting what I ordered. Tonight the tacos were just tossed together and the queso fresco was in weird giant chunks- like they were too lazy to crumble it and make it look somewhat presentable. The asada taco with special crema tasted good but most of it came off with the foil because the foil was wrapped so tightly. Oh well! Time to give em a break and maybe try again in a few months.

Cute atmosphere! Tamales were great, I had rajas y queso and a wet puerco with salsa verde. I would order both of those anytime! The fish taco was also great! Lots of outside seating and great prices. I will most definitely be back.
