Customer Review Summary
The Sycamore Inn offers a mix of experiences, with some diners praising the great service and ambiance, highlighting specific staff members like Lauren and Chris. However, several reviews mention issues with slow service and long wait times, particularly during busy periods. While certain dishes, like the rib-eye steak and caramelized onion soup, received positive feedback, others found some meals, including steaks, to be overcooked or poorly prepared. Some guests celebrated special occasions, leaving satisfied with the food quality and service, while others had disappointing experiences with undercooked meals and unacceptable service. Overall, the restaurant seems to have potential, but consistency in service and food quality could be improved.

This was our 2nd time here, and I do wish the experience this time was as good as the last time. I don't know if our waitress had too many tables or if the long wait times were specific to that night. It was an hour and a half, at the table before our food started making its way to the table. There were times when drinks were empty for over 30 minutes. It was disheartening since we spoke so highly of our last experience (Eddie was our server then), we brought our family the 2nd time. While no one at the table said it, we could see that everyone was getting anxious waiting. I'm not sure if it was just a bad night, but when you're paying for a high-end meal, I guess I expect better service.

Handicap access is very poorly marked, so it took forever to find out how to enter. The place was very busy and the service was slow. The staff was great when they were there, but it took over 2 hours for dinner to arrive after our reservation time. The food was good but our ribeyes were overcooked. Sides and everything else was great especially the caramelized onion soup. Ajus for the prime rib was fantastic.

The atmosphere was good, the service was great. But the 22oz rib-eye steak was the star of the show. I had it cooked medium-rare; it was perfect. Plus, the freshly baked sourdough rolls and Cajun shrimp were also good.

The Sirloin offered in the patio menu is just flavorable enough to not need steak sauce. Good texture, firm yet tender but dry. The fries are perfect. Awesome croutons on the Ceasar. The Filet in the main dining room was overcooked but similar to the Sirloin, it was just shy of needing steak sauce and dry. The Chicken is a little tough. Service was on spot. The teamwork of the staff added to a positive atmosphere.

We celebrated my Mom’s 96th birthday with a great supper at the Inn. Every entree from the filet mignon, prime rib and the peppercorn New York strip was prepared to perfection. We have eaten there many times over the years and have never been disappointed. John our waiter was informative, friendly and professional. Thanks again for the great dinning experience!!
A “Super Fabulous” B
I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Sycamore Inn and I was thoroughly impressed. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting, with a charming rustic decor that added to the overall dining experience. The restaurant was also impeccably clean and well-maintained. The service was exceptional, with attentive and friendly staff who were knowledgeable about the menu and offered great recommendations. The food itself was outstanding - from the appetizers to the main course, everything was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The wine selection was also impressive, with a variety of options to complement each dish. The Sycamore Inn truly exceeded my expectations and I will definitely be returning in the future. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience.

Probably the worst experience I’ve EVER had at a “nice” dinner. Took my father-in law and family here for 85th birthday celebration. Slowest worst service and food was awful. Not one person in our party of 10 had one good thing to say about their food. I get service can be slow but to have the food bad too was just unacceptable. I sent my way undercooked steak back and they took it up by bar and came back with same undercooked cold steak. They don’t even attempt to re-cook it. The only acceptable thing we ate was the bread. All around horrible meal. There was absolutely NOTHING that was even mediocre about our evening. Huge disappointment - and will never return.
