Overall disappointing. Service was great, nice location and ambience. Food was a letdown. Calamari to start with was very heavily coated to the point where all you tasted was deep fried batter. We had the mains of chicken and the special mahi mahi, both were cooked fine but under seasoned and bland.

I had to come on here and rant about the amazing meal and experience we had at the Sheldon Inn last night for my 35th birthday. 💕 Their ribeye was better than anything I've ever had at Mortons Steakhouse. Literally a 10000/10 meal from the service to the food. If you're looking for somewhere to go for the holiday, anniversary, date night, special event - this is perfect. The meals are easily sharable with 2-3 people. Yes, it's a little pricey. But so is driving downtown, paying for parking, and then paying for a half decent meal that doesn't wow you. I’m telling you we stopped after every bite to admire the food haha! This restaurant will become a staple for us for date nights going forward!!! I told my hubby I was going to post here bc it's hard to find a good place when you live in the middle of nowhere and also don't want to drive super far. Also look how cute this is! They made our evening so special! We got the ribeye and the burger!!!

Lovely dinner to celebrate a birthday! Our server, Andrew, was knowledgeable and attentive. Some steaks were not the desired temperature, but they made it right. Great drinks, great food, and an inviting atmosphere!

First time here after driving by it many times over the past few years. For starters, the wine was excellent. The ahi avocado appetizer was very good, but the wonton crisps were a bit greasy and overcooked, keeping it from 5 stars. Now for the great - everything else!!! Crusted halibut -tasty. Filet mignon - outstanding! Dessert was berry crumble with vanilla ice cream - yum. Our server Jordan was very nice, prompt, available, and professional. We can't wait to come back, try another appetizer, and earn that 5th star.

Initially when we arrived, bar staff didn't greet us which was a tiny bit awkward. Service once we ordered at bar as well as service at the table was exceptional. Great variety of custom cocktails and food was excellent. Our waiter had an excellent sense of humor too. We will definitely be going back.

The Sheldon Inn exceeded all my expectations. The calamari was incredibly tender and fresh, straight from Monterey Bay, and the steak was so perfectly cooked that it melted in my mouth. The staff provided impeccable service, demonstrating top-tier etiquette and attentiveness. Our waiter, Ron, was absolutely fantastic—knowledgeable, personable, and attentive without being intrusive. One of the highlights of the evening was the six-piece dessert tray they bring to your table, allowing you to see each dessert before making a choice—it’s a fantastic touch that makes the experience even more special. This is, without a doubt, the best restaurant I have ever been to—even surpassing our longtime favorite, The Veranda in Las Vegas. If you’re looking for an unforgettable dining experience, The Sheldon Inn is the place to go!

Really enjoyed date night here! The staff was very pleasant and responsive. We had the 12oz and skirt steak options and they were awesome. The drinks were also well done and not watered down. I will be adding this to my rotation of places I visit.
