Customer Review Summary
River Grille is praised for its nice atmosphere and elegant decor, making it a pleasant dining experience. The food quality varies; highlights include the delicious steak crust, fluffy mashed potatoes, and enjoyable crème brûlée. Some guests had disappointing experiences with certain dishes, particularly salads that lacked freshness and well-prepared seafood. Service quality is noted as inconsistent; while some servers are commended, others fall short of expectations for fine dining. Overall, the restaurant is loved by many for its ambiance and quality offerings, but some diners feel it doesn't always justify the price. It remains a popular spot for special occasions, though not everyone has had a memorable experience.

We love to sit in the bar, where the atmosphere is a little more relaxed without sacrificing the upscale vibe. Service is outstanding (and in our opinion much better than the dining room). The menu has good variety, the food is always on point, and the drinks are tasty and generous. We were last in a couple of weeks ago for our anniversary and were presented with a small gift card for our next visit—such a thoughtful gesture! There are a lot of options locally, but River Grille is always one of our top spots.

Was excited to try River Grille this evening for my birthday dinner and we were sad to leave underwhelmed and felt like everything was very overpriced. We have no issue paying for a great meal, as that was the hope this evening, however the quality didn’t match up. The restaurant atmosphere is very nice, I did enjoy that. White table cloths, well dressed staff, nice jazz music. We ordered an appetizer of the meatballs, a salad, filet, seafood scampi and a loaded baked potato. The meatballs were very good! My salad ($10, pictured below) was an extreme disappointment. The lettuce did not taste very fresh at all and the toppings were very sparse— advertised on the menu to come topped with cheese yet arriving with about three very small clumps and hardly anything else. My steak was cooked beautifully, but lacked much flavor or tenderness. The “loaded” potato, an extra $9 as the meals don’t come with sides, lacked much toppings at all but did have plenty of butter which I at least appreciated. My husband’s seafood scampi tasted very good, but the portion was small for the price and it lacked much seafood. There were 3 shrimp, 3 tiny mussels, and 1 small scallop, which was a bit disappointing when he was expecting a decent amount of seafood. Our server was fine, but not what we expected for a fine dining experience. He didn’t introduce himself, never shared any specials, didn’t ask us about the occasion, but he did scrape the breadcrumbs off the table! Lol I’m sad to say I don’t recommend this restaurant for the price and we won’t be going back.

Birthday dinner. As someone who’s graciously lived in several internationally recognized cities (NYC, Austin, Houston, St. Pete, FL), I truly can’t express my gratitude enough for having “trekked” there from Centerton. The REAL deal. The outdoor patio/ambiance was even dog friendly, despite its very intimate, world-class vibe. Their hands-on owner, Brenda, & irreplaceable server, Serhiy/Sergio (from Ukraine), are truly second to none! This was a tough relocation year for me/my pets & I just can’t thank God enough for nudging me there. Outdoor heaters, everything. Will unquestionably return. World-class yet truly authentic vibe. So blessed, thank you & your authentic, highly emotionally intelligent staff! Experience matched their steak 🥩 ! Muah! 💋Spectacular, thank you!

I think our server's name, is Natalie. 5-stars for her. She was so pleasant, she didn't hover over us or anything. She gave us just enough attention, to where we didn't wonder where she was. The food.... Imagine a explosion of flavors, that hit you from start to finish. That's how every dish and glass of wine, hit. I can't wait to book a load to Lowell. I'm coming back and want to try something new, every time.

Atmosphere and service was top notch. While our entrees were excellent, our appetizer was just so so. Pretty pricey but I knew that going in. I notified them that it was my wife's birthday at the reservation but nothing unique or special was done by the restaurant. It was just a regular meal. Not sure why they even ask if it is a special occasion when making the reservation if they do absolutely nothing.

I recently had the chance to dine at The River Grille Steakhouse, and it was incredible from start to finish. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly, and the atmosphere was just perfect—elegant yet comfortable, with soft lighting and a cozy vibe that made us feel right at home. Our server was fantastic. They were friendly, attentive, and really knew the menu inside and out. They gave us great recommendations and made sure everything was just right throughout the evening. Their professionalism and genuine care really stood out and made the experience that much better. Overall, The River Grille Steakhouse isn’t just a place to eat; it’s an experience. The food, the service, the ambiance—everything was spot on. I’ll definitely be coming back and would recommend it to anyone looking for a truly memorable dining experience. Five stars all the way!

The ambiance of this place is really nice. It feels really cool and old school, especially with the bow tied waiters and fire place. We loved the crab and shrimp appetizer, and while my boyfriend loved the duck, I was not very impressed with the dish. The actual duck was amazing but the rice was not good at all and definitely left me feeling disappointed and unimpressed. The drinks are amazing and the bartender was very friendly and kind. I’d for sure come back for a cocktail.
