Customer Review Summary
Atlas The Restaurant offers an exceptional dining experience with delicious food and excellent service. The short ribs and desserts, particularly the house sorbet, receive high praise. The ambiance is noted for being classy yet cozy, enhanced by interesting trinkets and antiques. Many reviewers describe the cocktails and food, including appetizers and entrees, as outstanding. However, a recent visit revealed inconsistencies in service and food quality, leading to dissatisfaction with dirty silverware and removed bread. Overall, while the restaurant is considered one of the best in northwest Arkansas, some guests feel the experience can vary. Reservations and a willingness to explore the extensive menu, particularly the oysters and foie gras custard, are recommended.

We had a great time at dinner! The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Definitely recommend the short ribs! And the dessert and house sorbet!

The food here made my soul ascend to another dimension. In all seriousness I cannot express the exquisite decadence of the appetizers, salads, entrees, and desserts (because you know I tried a bit of everything) that melds perfectly with deliciousness and an ability to fulfill that many gourmet restaurants do not have unfortunately. Also- the ambience deserves recognition on its own. The head chef is a very well traveled person and has brought from other countries not only flavors and cooking techniques, but an array of interesting trinkets. Many of these are displayed around the restaurant, along with other fascinating antiques. The chairs are comfortable, the lighting is perfectly dim, and it feels intimate rather than cramped. Yes, it’s expensive, but for great reason. The second you take your first bite you realize that every penny was worth it 🙌

Totally lived up to the hype. Best restaurant in NWA we’ve had. Great drinks, the bread was so good, cheese was amazing, gnocchi was perfectly cooked and the short rib and ribeye were great. Dessert flavors were interesting flavors and great. Such an enjoyable meal with great staff and atmosphere.

Love this place! We come here a few times a year and it never disappoints! Some of the best food in northwest Arkansas. The desserts are always delicious and fresh too.

Genuinely can’t rave enough about this place. I told my husband that it’s the best food I’ve had in all of Arkansas thus far. Not to mention the cocktails are phenomenal, the service was unparalleled & the ambience is a combination of classy + cozy. I can’t wait to return. ps. 10/10 recommend the oysters & short rib <3

Late 2024 review update: Returned to Atlas after a great first time and am dropping the review down to a 3. It was not a great return visit. The main issues were inconsistencies in service. Primarily that essentially every course we kept our dirty silverware, it was never replaced. Which meant that one of us was eating our bison main with a dirty salad fork from a beet appetizer. On top of that, paid for bread, and while I wasn't paying attention they took the bread away before the mains. This isn't a prix fixe menu where they give you bread for a certain dish and it won't make sense for you to have it for subsequent course. I asked for bread, i was spacing it out and looking forward to stopping up juices later. I paid 7 dumb dollars for it, leave it. As for the food, had an opposite experience where the appetizers were less interesting or satisfying than the main this time. There was just little thing missing or off with most of them that held them back from really hitting. And maybe with a return visit it was hone in on certain aspects, especially on the scallop dish, which we got both times (both times the veggie mix just didn't make full sense). FIRST REVIEW...5 stars (early 2024): Have held off going here for the better part of a year, after regularly being disappointed by recommendations I didn't want to be disappointed by the one place everybody said was their favorite. Glad I finally went. The food had a certain refinement and attention to detail that a lot of places lack around here. There weren't any oddball flavor combinations that didn't make sense. Not everything was perfect, but nothing was disappointing. Cocktails were solid and wine selection was good. Foie gras custard was the best part for me. Didn't need the rhubarb jam stuff...it was really good, but even a little over powered the foie gras. Scallops were cooked perfectly, the vegetable medley maybe wasn't necessary. That many different things didn't really add up to that much, but still good. Pea ravioli was good, the sauce wasn't as heavy as I expected. And the short rib was good too, but the appetizers stood out more than the entree, which I feel is the case with most restaurants anyway. Dessert was the one area that was a little lacking. Still good but not up to the level of the rest of the food. Probably wouldn't recommend it if you are a vegetarian.

The food, cocktails, service, and atmosphere were all absolutely perfect. We had the lamb and tuna, both were cooked to perfection and so delicious. One of our favs of the night was the foie gras custard, it was incredibly buttery and the peach mostarda is a perfect complement to it. Highly highly highly recommend Atlas if you’re looking for an upscale meal in NWA.

My wife and I have been to Atlas for a Sunday date. The atmosphere is good. We find the tables a bit small. Food - the cocktails are great. I loved the Andy’s whiskey cocktail. It was subtle. The bread and butter are really good. We asked for extra butter slice as we loved it. We did not find the food great. Out of all the dishes, we loved the pompano. The desserts are not a standout. The service is good. We tried the kale soup, shrimp appetizer, lamb and pompano.
