Customer Review Summary

The reviews for Texas Roadhouse present mixed experiences. Some patrons enjoyed their meals, praising the chicken, salads, and sweet potatoes, while others reported significant issues with overcooked and improperly seasoned steaks. Service received mixed feedback; some servers were described as polite and punctual, while others were overwhelmed and neglectful, particularly during busy periods. Many customers noted long wait times for food and issues with temperature and quality, with some meals arriving cold or with missing items. I should have taken a before photo, but everything looked so delicious I had to dive right in. The chicken was fantastic, salad was great, and the sweet potato was cooked to perfection.

The service from my waitress was good. The food not so much. I had 12oz ribeye that was supposed to be medium rare. It was well done. My wife ordered the filet medallions med rare with the same result. The steaks were overcooked and bland. They were not salted or seasoned. The sweet tea tasted like unsweetened tea. The butter corn and sweet potato for our sides were good. We had the cactus blossom for an appetizer and it was also good. The ranch dressing left a lot to be desired on the salad. Overall not a good experience. They are also pretty busy so there is a wait which isn’t a problem for us. I just wish the food would have been worth the wait. We had no qualms with the service from our waitress. She was kind, polite, and punctual.

Now my service from two weeks ago was completely different from my service two days ago. It's been well over a year since I've been to Texas. Two weeks ago hubby and I had a date and ended with Texas. Excellent service, great tasting food, punctual manager checks, and a full house (wait time 35+ minutes). The service my friends and I received Saturday 1. 18 after having a great evening in town wasn't the best. Saturday crowd had to be tough and probably had the servers ready to boil over. To be fair, my girls and I are in the field of service as well and understood immediately the stresses all those servers were under. Invitingly, we asked Madison to smile and relax. We were in great moods and as our server we wanted her to be in a great mood as well. Manager Maddy (Addy not sure) checked on us twice but at that point the service was 2 at best. Another server capped our refill and fresh bread to the table. There's more but I need not to mention. We only wanted to continue our good vibes and the service we received made that hard.

Apparently Texas Roadhouses are the place to be in this town. Busiest I've ever seen any restaurant. But that's okay, we had a party of ten and we got seated pretty quickly. Great start. Then our waitress got our drinks out to us fairly quickly before getting our order in. Nice. Then the wait started. 45 minutes go by, and we get word that 2 pork dishes had to be reordered because "They were cooked, but they came out smelling funny." The manager said that. Should have left right then and there. At about an hour and 25 minutes after ordering, the food comes out. Cold. Overcooked. And one of the orders was missing. Our waitress tried her best. But the kitchen really dropped the ball on this one. I've never had a worse experience than this. I've served tables and had some bad nights where things didn't line up right/orders were missed, but this seemed like an absolute nightmare. Nothing was said or offered to compensate for the wait or food quality. I think it was because our table was young college aged people. Meanwhile, a family next to us waited about 45 minutes for their food, and had the same result. 2-3 workers were at their booth apologizing, offering compensations etc. Not sure how this place stays open with a night like this. Maybe it's an outlier, off night, but still. Management needs a talking to from some higher ups after this. I'm not one to leave reviews, but people should be warned.

This was a travesty. Honestly, this is the worst Texas roadhouse I’ve ever been to our server, literally neglected us. Honestly, the burger was pretty decent, but my mom’s steak was SEVERELY UNDERCOOKED. I’m honestly so disappointed because I was so excited to go to Texas roadhouse this evening, but did not exceed expectations.

Everything was perfect. I ordered the bone in ribeye mid rare and a mango margarita. The steak was cooked perfectly and the margarita mixed well too. My server Breanna was constantly checking on me making sure I had everything I needed even though she had multiple tables to tend to. I'll definitely be coming back.

One of my favorite places bombed last night. Waitress was nice but spread too thin. Took forever to take our order, then even longer to get our food. Steak overcooked, cheese fries cold, most food lukewarm. It seems our food sat under a heat lamp way too long. Then they left off my two year old grandson's mac and cheese. He cried because at this point he was starving and he had to wait even longer to eat. I won't be back until they fix things. Very disappointed.

I’ve never had problems before and absolutely love Texas Roadhouse food. However this last time, I ordered the New York Strip and I never like sending food back but when this came out it was 85% fat. When I politely asked them to remake it, one lady came over and said to me “You ordered a Strip, they all have a strip of fat that’s how they get their name.” As an avid steak consumer it was almost laughable and thought it was quite rude. I’m well aware of what a New York Strip is supposed to look like and this is not it. I still love this restaurant and will continue to go but this was a very disappointing experience.
