It was my birthday, I was surprised and the Hibachi chef was cool. The spicy squid app was delicious. As was the appetizer platter. Could have kept the sweet potato fries though. My steak and scallops were excellent and I really enjoyed the way the staff interacted with the two children who were with me. My Daughters boyfriend was allergic to shellfish. They were certain to ask about food allergies and took every precaution to ensure no cross contamination took place during the cooking process.

Hibachi and Sushi at an affordable price. Lunch or dinner is under $20 per person. There are 8 grill tops and plenty of chefs. They also have a kid menu, and adult beverages include wine, beer, and more. The is my favorite Hibachi in Mobile.

We NEVER got to experience any part of the Shogun experience because we were NEVER even SEATED! We had a group of 10 people who were visiting someone who is in the ICU at Providence USA Hospital, who were starving after being there from 8:30am till 6:30pm. The restaurant was extremely busy, and we were told we would have a 30 to 40 minutes wait time, which we were all okay with. However, 40 minutes became an 70 minutes, so we were naturally already frustrated. We had asked when we'd be seated 45 minutes into the waiting process, and we were told we would be next. Well, 2 groups of 5 and another couple were seated who had come AFTER us, and that broke the camel's back for us. We confronted the owner/manager, and he acted unconcerned about our issues. We explained how he was about to lose a $500 bill not including the tips for his workers, and he had nothing to say. Needless to say, after 80 minutes of still not being seated, we left in ANGER. Shogun's in Mobile will NEVER get any of our business AGAIN! Not only that, everyone we know, and we know a LOT of folks, will hear about this, and Shogun will lose a lot of business!!!!!!!

Revision- The food is fantastic but the one woman who waits the sushi area does not seem to really want to be there. I have been here many times over the years and she’s always the same. She will barely grunt at you so there is no interaction and she never checks on any of her customers and stays in your phone. It will take about 45 mins to get your food on a regular basis. Come on guys you can do better.

Had an amazing time here celebrating my mom's birthday! The service was good, the cook was amazing, and the food was flavorful and plentiful ☺️ Our cook was Ruben and he was very funny and had such a great spirit and really made my mom's day special! This was our first time trying hibachi. We went with some friends who THOUGHT they preferred Shisho but, after our visit, they even said the food quality and value was way better here! Although Shisho has better curb appeal, its always the hole-in-wall places that will win in food quality, flavor, and service!! We WILL be back

We came in about 4:00 on a Saturday and there wasn't a wait. We didn't eat at the grill but we did get hibachi. It was phenomenal! The sushi (Bama Roll Fried) was wonderful. We took 3 to go boxes home and we only ordered 2 meals and shared sushi.

The portions were huge!! For dinner you get a soup, salad, rice, noodles, vegetables, and your choice of protein. It took a while for our chef to come to our table but that would be the only complaint :) we will definitely be back!
