I had lunch with coworkers at Briquettes on Schillinger. I’ve had Briquettes before but I am not sure what I had. Perusing the menu I knew I wanted steak but had to narrow it down. The decision came down to the number of sides. The chopped steak I believe came with 2 sides. I decided to go with the macaroni and cheese casserole and the strawberry side salad. Before we ordered our food, the table decided on some appetizers. The 3 choices we decided on were the fried green tomatoes with Cajun cream sauce, Artichoke Spinach dip, and Asian Almond Shrimp. All 3 were pretty good but my absolute favorite was the Asian Almond Shrimp. I think I could’ve eaten that for a main meal. My strawberry side salad arrived first. I want to say it was probably the most beautiful salad I’d ever seen. It had tangerines in addition to the strawberries. It also had some glazed walnuts that I think had a hint of cinnamon on them. There was also the vinaigrette that added the final touch to the salad. The chopped steak and macaroni and cheese casserole came out soon after I was finished with the salad. The casserole was good. I don’t remember much about it because I pretty much ate it as quickly as possible. The chopped steak I took time with. The flavor was plentiful. I loved the gravy with the onions and mushrooms. It really brought out the taste of the steak. The steak was really juicy and cooked to my liking. I really enjoyed this meal. As far as the service goes, the place was busy for lunch. Although it was busy we didn’t experience any long wait times with the food. I don’t remember the waitress name but she was very helpful.

Our waitress was alright, food wasn't that great. They gave my brother in law my steak and his steak to me. My sister in laws chicken was hard and dry, her broccoli was actually burnt. My wife liked her pasta. I've had better tasting steaks at Golden Corral. This place is nowhere near what it used to be. Diet coke was good. Pretty sure this was my last trip there.

Managed has changed. Horrible place to go. I went twice, once left o. The salad and appetizer and the second got the incorrect to go order and was laughed at by the front house manger (blonde girl) the back house manager came up to defend her which I guess is her husband. Anyway my steaks and sides were cold from the ordeal. The place has obviously changed and the low Caliber management has definitely changed. I would not order from this place. Go to another steakhouse. Trust me. I would not write it other wise.

I was thoroughly underwhelmed by my recent visit to Briquettes. Despite their upscale pretensions, the experience felt more like a mid-range chain restaurant. The portions were laughably small, especially considering the hefty price tag. I was expecting a generous serving of high-quality steak, but what I got was a meager slice that left me wanting more. But the issues went beyond just the food. The service was lackluster, with our server seemingly overwhelmed by the demands of the dinner rush. We had to find our own silverware, and one of our appetizers was forgotten altogether. To make matters worse, the restaurant was out of pasta – a staple item that you'd expect a reputable steak house to have in stock. Overall, my experience at Briquettes was a disappointment. With its overpriced menu, small portions, and subpar service, this restaurant fails to live up to its upscale aspirations. Unless they revamp their menu and service, I'd recommend taking your business (and your appetite) elsewhere.

The bar is nice. The patty melt was phenomenal, and we did carry out. However, the only issue is getting ahold of them by phone. This is disappointing, as we've been in the area and have called, ending up ordering food elsewhere because they didn't answer on multiple occasions—probably about five. We chose somewhere else and spent a decent amount there. That's the only bothersome thing. But I will say the food is excellent, the people are kind, and it's a great overall experience except for the inability to reach them by phone. So we went in last time and waited about 30 minutes, but it was well worth it.

Simply LOVED my visit here! There was a very small wait, but it was TOTALLY worth it! From the moment we were seated, our waitress made sure we were greeted and welcomed warmly. Her level of service was EXCELLENT! She even made me aware of a free desert for my birthday, which to me was going that extra mile to make me feel appreciated, something very few restaurants do these days. The entrees were DELICIOUS and reasonably priced to boot. I HIGHLY recommend the Salmon, it is succulent, perfectly seasoned, and quite literally melts in your mouth! This entree also comes with a salad of your choice and one side. The atmosphere was great, food was delicious, and quality service. I certainly recommend a visit here!

The food is always top tier and usually the service is as well. Tonight was an exception, server Connor was focused on the tables around us and did not give us the level of service that the other tables received. First we had to ask for drink refills, second he failed to remove appetizer plates from the table and we had to ask for this to be removed, third he did not offer dessert and was instead trying to give us the check. The food was all incredible besides cold potato soup and the brownie that was also cold and tasted like it was sitting in a refrigerator before being served.
