Outback Steakhouse

My daughter and I stopped at Outback last night after the parades for a late dinner. It was about 9pm, so there was no wait and we were quickly seated. Nichole E. was our waitress and was amazing from the very beginning! She greeted us with a smile and within minutes we had our drinks and some warm bread. We ordered the aussie cheese fries (one of my favorite foods for over 25 years now), their new garlic parm chicken bites (seasonal menu), their koala cocktail for me and a soda for my daughter. The cheese fries came out first and were perfection! They were hot, super cheesy, and were delivered with the extra ranch we requested when we ordered. I wish there would be a little more bacon on them, but they were still awesome and we dove in! The chicken bites arrived looking and smelling heavenly! When I ate the 1st one I noticed that while the flavor was good, the texture seemed off. I know that can happen with chicken sometimes, so I didn’t say anything, but a minute later I noticed my daughter spitting hers out because “the texture was weird”. I never said anything to her about my 1st bite so I know she wasn’t just saying that. She and I both tried another piece. Mine was fine, hers was still a little off, but she ate it. My 3rd bite was the final straw, it also had a weird texture, almost like it was undercooked, even though it was white when cut. We felt horrible saying anything to the waitress, but these were inedible, so we let her know. Nichole was insanely understanding about the situation and did not make us feel bad at all about it! She told the manager and they removed it from our bill and also offered us a free dessert to go (she knew we were tired from the parade). They went above and beyond to make it right, and based on the service and cheese fries we will definitely be going back! P.S. the koala drink is really good, especially if you don’t want to taste alcohol. It’s fruity and sweet, and the Outback koala duck you get to keep just made it even better!

I couldn’t have just a Bloomin’ Onion so I decided to get the Bloomin’ Fried Shrimp. I know doubling up on fried food is a risk but I needed to do this. I made my order and headed to the restaurant. When I got to Outback I checked in from the text they sent me. My food was out in a few minutes. I got home and was eager to get a taste of the Bloomin’ Onion. It didn’t disappoint. It was delicious. The batter on the onions held up well. The crunch was solid. The dipping sauce was tangy. On to the shrimp. The shrimp was amazing. The batter for the shrimp was fried well. The shrimp turned out perfect. And paired with the sauce it was so delicious. It was a lot of fried food but it was worth it.

My husband and I had a great experience..The food was DDELICIOUSSSSS and our waitress Chantal did an awesome job. She deserves a raise. We hope to see you soon. Everything was clean and nice.

Got there with my wife at 6:30pm. Was told 45 min to 1 hour wait. Got a table at 7:15pm. Ordered food then at 8:30pm was told that our order had been cancelled / lost and they were sold out of our order. Obviously my fault for not reading the recent reviews and steering clear of this place. Won't happen again.

Service was great, food not so great. Been a long time since we'd been here. Walked in with the family and was immediately seated. Waiter was very friendly. Ordered the blooming onion, came out barely cut. Had a Ceasar salad with my dinner. They dumped a massive amount of parmesan cheese in my side salad. So much that I had to pick the lettuce out of the cheese. I showed the waiter and they even agreed it was way too much. Offered to get me a new one but I was done with it by then. Steak was cooked right, but was hardly seasoned. Their mac and cheese was extremely bland and salty. 3 out of 4 of my family took 1 bite and asked for a different side. Definitely not a visit to make me want to come back again.

Do not eat here! They don’t deserve any patron’s dime! They took our reservation of 14-the manager approved it at 2:00 We arrived early and were told there would be a 45 minute wait. (They gave our table away-DESPITE having all 14 members of the party there early/on time). An hour and a half later we questioned the host staff again only to be met with rude responses, denial, excuses., and eventually asked to leave because naturally we became defendant of our hungry children. The excuse the hostess staff gave was the server didn’t want another party. (Find another job if you don’t want to wait on people) The manager excused the hostess staff because they were all new. How about you take some accountability for the lack of adequate training you provide your staff, the mediocre/subpar standards you set for your staff, and the lack of expectations/standards you promote. Leadership being supportive of that kind of behavior from multiple staff members (and one ever so blunt and snarky [insert choice word here] will be the demise of the business success. They all should find themselves out of a job and forever out of the food service industry because service is beyond what they offer. Instead, they offered to call the cops for us inquiring about our table and advocating for our three hungry children. Take your business elsewhere Mobile! They don’t deserve a dime!

Made a reservation that was approved by a manager. (or so I was told). Arrived and they sat a table where we were supposed to be seated. Manager came out and apologized and said he would seat us as soon as they could. An hour and a half later, the tables were clean and empty but we were told that the waitress didn’t want anymore big tables because she had enough big tables for the night. (We arrived at 5:30) Then all of a sudden they claimed they don’t take reservations and only do call ahead seating after we had sat there for an hour and a half past our 5:30 reservation. One of the hostesses told us we could leave and go somewhere else and then threatened to call the cops on us because we were complaining about all the crap we had to put up with. The first manager I spoke with ended up lying to my face saying we never had a reservation yet he apologized for the inconvenience and said he would make sure we had appetizers as soon as we sat down when i spoke to him at 5:30. If they couldn’t accommodate a large party they could have said it in the beginning instead of letting small children sit there getting irritable because they were hungry. So we left and Olive Garden was absolutely great about getting us seated and taken care of as fast as they could. We were told the wait would be about 40 minutes but were sat within 30 minutes. I will make sure I nor anybody else I know will ever support Outback Steakhouse again. Especially the one in Mobile , Alabama

Server was very nice. Friday not busy. They were out of three different things I tried to order. I Ordered burger medium rare, it came out mooing bright red out of the package. Asked for no mustard and no pickles. They double the mustard on each side of the bun. My daughter ordered asparagus and it was still cold and chewy. They need help in the kitchen for sure.
