Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen

Our first visit to a Cheddar's, but definitely not our last. The food was incredible, the service was stellar and the prices were very reasonable. Our server, David, brought out freshly baked croissants before our meal, and they were literally the best croissants I have ever had. For our meal, I had the Blackened Tilapia and Shrimp with Cajun Alfredo over Rice and my hubby had the New Orleans Pasta with Chicken, Shrimp and Sausage. Both were well prepared and tasted fresh and flavorful. The portions were hearty and more than enough for leftovers. We will definitely go back again and again to try all the other goodies on their menu.

Wow! First time here--recently relocated from California. I will say this went there around 1130-12pm today. From the host to our server Shawanda I believe she may have a trainee with her. Well if I could give a 10! She would get a 20! Shawanda was on point in all aspects! We will definitely return!! Because of the service and yes the food! I could be your guys spokesman! Great!

The food came out quickly, and the server was very attentive. All meals are started with hot croissants with honey butter. We also ordered the nachos with cheese appetizer, which was great. The Dijon mustard chicken with mushrooms is still my favorite.

All the food was good, the server was really nice, the technology to order from the table top was a positive, the restaurant looked and felt clean. The booths felt oversized which is good or bad depending on how big you are. A good experience to go back to

Loved the onion rings and the ranch was amazing. The onion rings were lightly breaded and the ranch sauce tasted fresh. The prices were very reasonable.

Hadn’t been to Cheddars in quite sometime. We were so delighted. Great Food. Ribs and Chicken Tenders. And oh by the way…. The Honey Croissants are to die for. The University Dr Cheddar’s is a Go To place 😋

My family and I are from Tuscaloosa. We stumbled across this Cheddars back in November of 2024. We fell in love with it great service, and great food. We decided to make a short weekend with our kids this weekend which is the end of February 2025. We did the online check-in and had our table really quick we thought everything was going to be top-notch like it was the first time. Boy was weed mistaken. When our waiter came over he took our drink order and got the drinks wrong three times. We ordered an appetizer, salads, and our entree. It all came out at the same time. After the waiter brought our food out he never came back. We paid on the kiosk at the table and never seen him again. Cheddar's you need to get your stuff together with training waiters and waitresses because people like this leave a bad taste in your customers mouths. I do not plan to return and it's all because of this incompetent waiter.
