We arrived before our reservation and sat at the bar. Alyse was very attentive and arrived almost immediately to take our order. However we were seated at our table before we could complete the order. Sierra was a fantastic server. The Ginger Peanut salad with grilled chicken was amazing. My New York strip steak with yellow pepper corn sauce and mashed potatoes was perfectly cooked to medium as requested. The cut of meat was amazing, and the sauce was magnificent. My guest’s Steak Frites was cooked to well done and not the requested medium. However, Sierra insisted on making it right. And that she did! The second iteration of the meal was perfect. Absolutely delicious and cooked as requested. The Carmel pecan crunch was absolutely delicious and Sierra’s suggestion. Fingers crossed you have her on your visit. The drinks were well made and mixed. However using ice maker ice for an Old fashioned when you have the big ice cube in house is certainly a choice.

Wow! We've been to a handful of nicer restaurants in the area and Char is my favorite by far. Great portions, great prices, great flavor, great atmosphere. I'm not a fan of seafood but I loved the crab cakes. I would get those again in a heart beat! Corbin, our server, was great. He brought out extra sauce for our fried green tomatoes without us even asking. DH got the NY strip steak and loved it. I got the Ashley Farms Raised Chicken. It was also pretty good. The mashed potatoes and green beans that came with it were fantastic. Meal came with bread and butter so we were too full for dessert. God-willing, we'll be able to visit this place many more times!

This place is amazing! The crab cakes were super delicious. The prime rib was so tender. And it was so large, that I ate leftovers for 2 more meals! My favorite was the fried whole okra! Soooo yummy

We came to Huntsville for a wedding and wanted to go out to a fine dining restaurant and we definitely made a great choice. They were very accommodating for our reservation of 11. Greeted by Alexander, the vibe was friendly and fancy. Our waitress was on top of it and very attentive. All of the appetizers and food came out great! Will definitely dine again when we return to Huntsville!

***Always try to get a reservation*** Especially if your hoping for a booth*** Absolutely superb standard of service as usual. We have gone at late dinner and we technically had a reservation for lunch. We arrived at 3:15 so we were close to dinner menu. We were warmly accommodated. We asked for the dinner menu as well as technically being in lunch hours. Mind you this is the day before Valentine’s Day. Love the dark moody ambiance. Deep cushiony booth with dim/golden light. Server was incredible. She had a soft a welcoming voice and their was never a moment when are drinks were not topped off. Order was correct. We ordered crab claws fried green tomato’s as well as no Filler crab cakes. We had these accoutrements with a few cocktails with plenty of time before our entrees. You get some light bread as a palate cleanser as well. I had the filet add scallop with sweet potatoes. Filet was pretty good. It could have been slightly more rare but I got a really nice cut so I’m not disappointed. Fried okra was like grandma made it. My spouse had the seafood carbonara and absolutely loved it. The sauce had great flavor but was not too heavy and the pasta was cooked perfect. We topped off with the pecan butter crunch and a couple more cocktails( they’re great). If you take coffee with desert they have that as well. The key lime night topper was lovely. If you worry about raw egg white in your cocktail or prefer it they do use fee foam instead of egg white. There is a slight taste difference. The server looked like a super model and had a neat well done manicure with blue polish. I can’t remember her name but she was the best. We lingered and enjoyed our time. At no point did we fill rushed. We will continue to come here. As this was a special occasion our total was at $400 with tip. We had six cocktails as well. The lunch menu has pretty good prices and specials for every day of the week.

I had the veal which was phenomenal, and the voodoo lady cocktail, both I would highlt recommend. My husband and I finished our meal with the blueberry bread pudding which was the highlight of the entire meal. The waiter was very friendly and helpful with our questions about the menu. It is a bit pricey but it's well worth the quality of food and service.

Service was great, ambiance was pleasant. The food on the other hand well… subpar. The prime angus NY strip (image below) for 53$ is a comical as it tasted more like a usda select steak, definitely not prime. Also they were out of all, ribeye, lamb and everything else except the prime rib…the winner…was the bread which arrived late. My wife ordered the Nola bbq shrimp…that were “grilled”. Zero grill marks, more like boiled.
