Applebee's Grill + Bar

The food was absolutely disgusting! The atmosphere is dead and feels unwelcoming! The waiter we had was amazing and made very good drinks but the manager who also happened to be cooking was very unpleasant and the food very bland. The steak was mostly fat and the chicken tortilla tasted only like flour 🤮🤮🤮 was super hungry and looking forward to this meal only to be let down and highly disappointed!

I have been harsh in the past because of service, the long waiting times, the mood, the attitude. I have to say that over the past few months, they have had staff turnover and the improvements are incredible!! The people eating seem happier. When I am there for Door Dash, the waiting time is minimal, and recipients of the food seem much happier because we are getting better ratings as well. The staff is professional, respectful, friendly. The people dining in seem happier because the staff is letting them converse amongst themselves, not interfering with their dining experience like what was happening before. The improvements really show and I have to commend the staff and management! I would recommend delivery, online ordering or eating in the restaurant. I think you would be very pleased compared to anything you have had in the past.

I was pleasantly surprised with the burger I ordered. On this visit I ordered a "whole lotta bacon burger." As mentioned by the name this burger had bacon and thanks to Tasha, we were able to enjoy it when instructed to have the bacon extra crispy! Very attentive to detail and recognized that we had finished a soccer game and served us additional drinks ahead of us finishing our first round. Very considerate and really awesome waitressing! Can't wait to go back after another football win!

We came in at 9pm and wish we wouldn’t have.. the food was not that great and our waitress was very nice but felt like as customers we weren’t cared for. Had to ask the host for straws, drinks, plates, and napkins. We ordered mixed drinks and I felt like they gave us virgin drinks, no taste of alcohol at all. Then I know this wasn’t her fault but in the middle of us eating there system went down and they couldn’t take cards so my husband had to leave in the middle of us eating to go to the bank to get cash. The whole experience was kinda bad.

Great food and great service!! I got a dish that came with waffle fries. I'm typically not a fry person but those were very good and cooked just right. I ate all of them. Totally recommend!!

Given tea ordered unsweetened had to wait 15 minutes for sweetener. After getting tea no one ever ask if needed refill. Had a friend from around Birmingham area with me. She ordered a steak never asked how she wanted it cooked. Finally flagged someone to tell them she wasn't asked and told them. Waited for about 35 minutes for food. I had ordered vegetables and my friend had gotten her food and started eating. On the other hand 10 to 15 minutes before I got 2 of the 3 vegetables I had ordered. If I could have posted a 0 I would have given them a 0. I nor my friend plan to never step inside another Applebee's. The wood around the top of the seats had dust on them. I do not know how they managed the health rating they was given.

The staff were very friendly and attentive, the food was good, and the drinks were nice and cold. Super cheap, we didn’t have to wait long, and we enjoyed our meal so I think this place is a win. The only thing that we didn’t like was how loud the music was but we sat right under the speaker.

The waitress brought me 1 paper napkin and 1 wet towelette for ribs!! I was not impressed and definitely won't be back. What restaurant runs out of silverware? I've never seen that happen, and having worked in food service for many years, I find that unacceptable. Applebee's, get it together. We may be in a recession, but the silverware you can get on wholesale would not bankrupt you.
