Customer Review Summary

Amber Lantern Restaurant offers a great dining experience with delicious and well-prepared food. While some dishes like chicken were noted as slightly overcooked, the duck, lamb, and seafood received high praise. The service is friendly and attentive, with servers knowledgeable about the menu. Atmosphere is highlighted, especially seating outside with scenic views, although service can be slower in that area. Prices are on the higher side, but many reviewers felt the portion sizes and food quality justified the cost. Desserts like lemon berry mascarpone and death by chocolate cake were particularly appreciated. Overall, diners expressed a desire to return and explore more of the menu.

Food was great and service was pleasant. We were worried about the prices and hoped the food tasted good but we were not disappointed. We the chicken was a bit overcooked but the duck and lamb were cooked to perfection. We will definitely be back.

This is a hidden gem! Now that all the construction is totally complete, this is an amazing spot in an incredible location. My time, my good, my experience was so so so good! The only thing I would’ve changed about the night ….was my date lol. My server was absolutely amazing and very well versed in “Girl Code” lol. She looked after me and checked in to make sure I was ok throughout my date. Her suggestions were delicious and the night was beautiful. Come on the spring and summer to enjoy sitting outside 🙂

Really good seafood spot. Kind of in the back of the cut next to the water. Great servers and quick from the kitchen. Went on a Saturday night around 8pm and it wasn’t busy at all. Plates are small and place is expensive but it was worth it. Even took some extra home. Drinks were good but in small cups. Spent over 100.00 for two people.

We reserved a table outside and we were seated immediately. What a gem not a lot of people. We were hoping for a bit more fresh option but ate what we got it was good. Because we were outside service was slow. But the view was great.

The food had great flavor. Everything was cooked perfectly, and seasoning was on point. Service was slow, but the wait was worth it.

Had our company holiday dinner on a Tuesday evening. “Someone back there knows what they’re doing,” was the best comment I heard someone at the table say, and I think it perfectly sums up how great the food was. Oysters were great, calamari fried perfectly, spinach and artichoke dip was cheesy and had plenty of spinach and artichokes. I cannot say enough about how wonderfully flavored my lobster tortellini was with PLENTY of tortellinis and more lobster than you could possibly imagine. Every entree on the table was PLENTIFULLY portioned. Genuinely felt the prices per plate were more than justified based on how delicious everything was and the portions they served. Lemon Berry mascarpone dessert was amazing, wish I had listened to our server when she said it was her favorite. Had to steal bites from my colleagues. Key lime pie was good and everyone who had any leftovers whatsoever, took them home. Shout out to our server who was stellar, thanks for the great service.

We were first-time visitors last Friday and our dining experience was amazing start to finish. We were greeted and seated promptly and our table overlooked the water. We enjoyed cocktails, the tuna appetizer, and filet mignon for dinner. Our friendly server, Christy, was on point with every detail and the meal was delicious and perfectly portioned. We knew we’d be returning at first bite, because we want to taste more of their menu. We also look forward to dinner on the patio one evening when the temps aren’t sweltering. This is one of our top dining experiences since moving to the area. Highly recommend.

We loved this experience and will most definitely be back! Presentation was beautiful, everything was perfectly cooked to order, and the flavors were robust. We ate everything on our plates, and then somehow managed to eat the death by chocolate cake. Some of the best food I have enjoyed in Chesapeake!
