Landrace is an upscale restaurant with a modern interior, suitable for both romantic and casual dining. Most reviewers appreciated the attentive service, particularly highlighting servers like Kim and John for their excellent recommendations and charm. Many guests enjoyed the food, praising items like the Wagyu burger, ribeye steak, and scallops, although some dishes, like the deviled eggs and fixed Valentine's Day menu, disappointed due to mix-ups and quality issues. Atmosphere was generally described as elegant and classy, enhancing the dining experience. Overall, the restaurant has potential but consistency in quality and communication about menu changes need improvement.

4.5 Stars rounded up! Upscale dining with a modern interior and quiet atmosphere that works well for an intimate, romantic date night or a casual, comfortable (but mild-mannered) family dinner. Taking in a conveniently close dinner before a show at the Tobin Center, my teenagers and I felt comfortable in our jeans and polo shirts, but we would have felt equally at ease in full business suits. Our server, Kim, was attentive and spot-on with recommendations, and the busser made sure our water glasses never ran dry. The most exceptional meal was the Wagyu burger. The others were good but not necessarily worth the price tag. We may not make a trip here just for a random meal, but we would certainly use this as another pre-Tobin Show dinner. Then again, we may stop by just for the cheddar bacon biscuits!

Worried when we arrived for dinner and the restaurant was empty. Food was good though. Had the Halibut and mushrooms, and the creole pasta. Lost a star because we ordered the deviled eggs that should have come with salmon roe, but had sausage instead. Later heard them tell another table that they were out, so it would have been nice to know before hand as well.

We took a chance on this place and we're very pleased. The food was great and the atmosphere was elegant and classy. We had the Showtime menu which was salad, main course and dessert. Everything was amazing quality. Highly recommend this place.

Love all drinks here! Very tasty! I had a great time with my family. We ordered ribeye steak and grilled shrimp. Both were great taste. Smoked whiskey was so nice. I love it. Oysters were fresh. It's a great restaurant in River Walk!

Really disappointing experience. Valentines Day had a fixed menu, which consisted of a Cesar salad that I could have gotten from Chic-Fil-A. A horrible cut of steak that was 3/4 inedible fat (pictured below) with four tiny little potatoes. And a piece of cheesecake. For $287!!!!!!!!!! After pulling all of the fat off the steak, it left about five bites. Four VERY tiny potatoes hidden under the steak. No vegetables. A Cesar salad that consisted of five pieces of romaine lettuce and cheese, with ranch on top. And a piece of cheesecake. We honestly would have left, but it was Valentines Day, and there was nowhere else to go. I was very excited to try this restaurant out with my wife, as I heard their menu was phenomenal. Unfortunately I didn’t do my due diligence, and upon arrival we found out that they had a fixed menu with two options. We opted for the steak and salad. Both cuts were awful. Service was decent - but you could tell our server was forcing the convo, and didn’t want to be there. At one point he came by to check on us, and before I could even raise my head up to respond, he was gone. Atmosphere was nice. I’d love to have actually tried out their normal menu, but that part is on me for not looking into it some more before making the reservation. I’m just so so so disappointed in the quality, portion and overal meal quality for the value and price. $287 is an insane amount to charge for a poor quality cut of steak this size, with the most basic Cesar salad I’ve ever seen. I’m not even kidding when I tell you they slapped a piece of meat on a plate and served it. That’s it. A piece of meat that was 3/4 inedible fat. That’s the meal. We will not be back. Just awful. The rest of the staff in the restaurant was nice and friendly, but honestly this is the most overpriced and dissapointing meal I’ve ever had - by a LONG shot…and I have travelled the world.

Ate here on a rec from a friend for Valentines Day, was pleasantly surprised. Our server John made the whole experience wonderful. Explained the menu really well, and was honestly so charming! Good, personable service is so hard to find these days…love it when a server knows their menu and can guide a diner through it. That was John. The food did not disappoint! Loved the special menu.
