This was our first visit to Deans. The atmosphere was noted upon arrival. Everyone was very thoughtful with their interactions and the decor was notable. We were seated and greeted by our server Jeffery who took care of us for the evening. He was very thoughtful and we appreciated the quality service he provided. The lobster bisque and the steak were phenomenal! The whole experience was something to write home about. We can’t wait to return.

Our New Favorite place to eat! Dean’s was impressive from the moment we walked in. With those inspired stone walls, dramatic lighting and warm and inviting decor it was very impressive. Service was phenomena, our server David made us feel like we were the only people on his radar, so solicitous and charming! My husband had a couple of creative Old Fashioned. 1 a Pecan Old Fashion and the next a honeycomb. He loved the oysters with the sauces in cool ampules, he had a Boxcar Steak and I had the Halibut . We also had delicious salads and mushrooms. Everything was delicious. David told us the cool history of the building . What a great evening! I guess we will be regulars!

Spectacular all around. My wife and I came here for our anniversary dinner. The atmosphere is classy but not an intimidating way. Our server Ollie was courteous & attentive. He was even kind enough to placate my wife with her “Happy Anniversary” message request on our cheesecake dessert. The A5 Hot Stone Wagyu was cool to try out. The meat strips melted in your mouth and the presentation was on point. Their salmon dish was very tasty. Also, the lobster Mac N Cheese was phenomenal. The entire staff even made us a happy anniversary card and they all signed it. Details such as this, really seal the entire deal. 10/10 everyone needs to come try out this spot.

During our recent visit to Dean’s Steak & Seafood in San Antonio, we were thoroughly impressed by both the cuisine and the service. We began with the Oysters Rockefeller, which were prepared to perfection, offering a delightful blend of flavors. The Steak Tartare was rich, well-seasoned, and expertly balanced, while the Sea Scallops were seared beautifully, tender, and bursting with flavor. The steak was cooked exactly to our liking—tender, juicy, and showcasing the quality of their prime cuts. To conclude, the bread pudding was a decadent and satisfying dessert, leaving a lasting impression. The cocktails were expertly crafted, pairing wonderfully with our meal. Our server, Jeffery, provided phenomenal service, attending to our needs with professionalism and warmth, which significantly enhanced our experience. Overall, Dean’s Steak & Seafood offers an exceptional dining experience with its exquisite menu, historic ambiance, and top-tier service. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a memorable meal in San Antonio!

Dining at Dean’s in San Antonio was an exceptional experience. From the warm welcome to the attentive service provided by Corrina, every detail was thoughtfully executed. The ambiance perfectly balances sophistication and comfort, creating an inviting atmosphere that enhances the meal. The menu is a refreshing addition to San Antonio’s dining scene, expertly blending the best of a steakhouse with fresh, flavorful seafood offerings. Deans truly captures the essence of both, delivering high-quality dishes that stand out. It’s clear that San Antonio has been missing a place like this, where the rich flavors of land and sea come together seamlessly. Highly recommended for those looking for an elevated dining experience in the heart of the city.

The food was phenomenal. I had a lobster soup and it was delicious. My wife had oysters and crab tail, she loved it. I had the salmon as my main course, it was delicious. Then my wife and I share the banana bread with ice cream, and wow also delicious. Our waiter Josh A. Was absolutely a professional and courteous. This is one of my new favorites, and if you are visiting San Antonio, this restaurant should be a must visit. The hostess, the waiter (Josh A.) and the food simply outstanding. One last thing, the establishment is super clean and great ambiance for our date night. Great job!

We've dined here twice for dinner before, and while the food has consistently been exquisite, service fell short on our second visit. Hoping for a better experience, we decided to try brunch during restaurant week. Unfortunately, the initial welcome was less than inviting. The hostess walked us to our table, dropped the menus without a word, and left without acknowledging it was our table. When our waiter arrived, we asked for the restaurant week menu, which we expected the hostess to provide. Instead, the waiter seemed confused and mentioned that our reservation should have noted participation in restaurant week. This requirement wasn't mentioned on the restaurant's menu or website. While service got off to a rocky start, the waiter made an effort to turn things around, which salvaged what could have been another disappointing experience. Despite these service hiccups, the food continues to shine and is the highlight of dining here. However, the service could definitely use some fine-tuning to match the quality of the cuisine.

This is our first time at Deans Steak & Seafood Restaurant. We had reservations at 8:45 arrived at 8:35 and seated right away. The waiter brought the menus- explained it throughly, was very informative, and personable- unfortunately we did not see the waiter Eddie again for another 28 minutes to take our order- including drinks and food. Drinks and appetizer (Pecan infused Old Fashion, Classic Margarita, crab cake & dinner rolls) arrived to the table about 40 mins from arrival and it took about an hour for us to receive the main selection (dry aged Ribeye, New York Strip, onion rings, and broccoli). The steaks were cooked to a perfect Medium with great char and flavor- the food was excellent. I requested a dessert menu and 15 minutes later Eddie returned, forgot to bring the menus and apologized - but he recited the entire dessert menu where we reluctantly chose the bread pudding & carrot cake. The delayed service was the reason for the reluctancy. The dessert time was also delayed and the entire dinning experience was 2hrs 24 minutes. I enjoyed the time with my husband the ambience was nice but they must improve on service time. Unfortunately, Eddie was struggling that night because the table behind us also complained about the service time as well. The food was worth it, BUT PLEASE be prepared for the long wait time.
