Parking can be tricky.. they're busy even on Wednesday afternoons. Party of 5. We all enjoyed the food and the service. Some of us have been there in years, it was one guys first time. Everyone pretty much cleaned their plate. Delicious appetizers and friendly wait staff.

Okay, guys, this icon restaurant has been here along time. Yes, I know as food items changed both with presentation and taste, we left our old faithful behind. We heard they were in trouble, but that does not mean they cut corners on their food like we have experienced since covid. I was pleasantly surprised by how good the breakfast was. First, the smoothness of the coffee and the taste. I was told they grind their own coffee beans. I drank 3 cups instead of my usual 1 cup. That's how good it was. I'm not sure if they scrambled my eggs in light butter or butter flavored Pam, but definitely not bland. The hash browns were crispy and not oily, the bacon, pretty sure, made in oven. It's not greasy, has great taste, and does't shrink.. The biscuits were to die for. I'd come for those and just a cup of coffee. Your waitress was amazing. She couldn't do enough for us. I know people say it's outdated, but that keeps her prices low. Thanks for a great experience. We will be back next weekend. ❤️☕️🍳🥓🥘🌮🥪🍲

This place is good and very consistent! I've heard of this place for years but always chose to stay away due to poor reviews. Until one day I decided to give it a shot. I wish I had chosen to try it out a long time ago. I only order one thing and it is the massive Chicken Fried chicken they have. The thing is the size of the plate! Me and my partner drive 20 mins just for it! It's always hot, never dry and did i mention? huge! Now the sides are truly nothing to write home about. I do wish they would put more thought into them though. The mashed potato's are clearly from a box. The green beans lack any flavor and also from a can. The bread that accompanies the plate is super dry and could use a brushing of butter. Service is always great and all of the wait staff seem to truly enjoy their job. Do keep in mind this place isn't the nicest. Decor is outdated and I feel like they're going for an oldtimey vibe. They have old music players at some of the tables which really add to the vibe. Place is a bit boxy and could use a different floor plan. In conclusion the chicken fried chicken is great and customer service is also great! A quick disclaimer the 4 stars can be attributed to their consistency and customer service.

Update the food is still delicious! Went in recently ordered fish, shrimp,fries & came with a roll & 2 small hush puppies! The tea is delicious. The service by the gentleman was absolutely great! Would be great if they played music 🎶 on a regular. 💁‍♀️Went in for some chicken fried chicken, & I wasn't disappointed! It was definitely delicious! 😋

I grew up in the neighborhood of Bud Jones since 1969! My hubby & I like coming here for great tasting fish entrees. The only thing that changed for us this time is that the food was not as hot when served including my baked potato. Portions are smaller but flavor is still great as I have known it during my younger days:).

Cooks need to put their pride into it as if they are cooking for their family. Table we sat at was not wiped down right. Host needs to put a smile for each paying customer.
