Customer Review Summary
Haywire restaurant received mixed reviews from diners. The service was generally noted as excellent, with specific staff members praised for their attentiveness. The atmosphere was described as relaxed and inviting, with a good view of the kitchen, contributing to a positive dining experience. Food quality varied; standout dishes included the crab dip, porterhouse, and ribs, while some items like broccolini and meatloaf received negative feedback for texture and flavor. Several diners appreciated the brunch offerings, particularly the Wagyu Pastrami Hash and Crabcakes Benedict, although there were minor complaints about shells in the latter. Desserts like bread pudding were well-received, but service issues, such as forgotten requests and awkward food handling, detracted from some experiences. Overall, while many enjoyed their meals and the ambiance, inconsistency in food quality and service led to some reservations about returning.

Excellent service by Jenn and the timing of the food was impeccable. The crab dip was probably my favorite, but my steak was slightly overcooked and had a ton of pepper. Will definitely be back though to try more stuff.

This is my first time dining with them and I ordered the Venetian chili and the taste was explosive! It was so good like definitely exceeded my expectations! I will most definitely come back again and try some other things in their menu! I went at lunch time around 1:30PM but the service was fast and pleasant l! 10/10, I highly recommend!

Recommend using the parking garage with entrance on the western end. Free validation when eating here. The atmosphere was good. Definitely a location to be visited many times. Regular menu prices were not crazy. As a couple tried the ceviche, 32oz porterhouse, mac & cheese, broccolini, bread pudding & pecan pie. Ceviche - good has a late kick to it. Has a unique sweetness on the front end. Porterhouse - Great flavor and super tender. The chimichurry sauce paired well with this. Bread pudding - great all around. Still get the whiskey afternote flavor. Good consistency. Pecan pie - was okay, not as exciting as the bread pudding. Mac & Cheese - portion seemed small to share but was good. Had some crunchy top texture. Broccolini - just avoid. Hard texture and crown just tasted like burnt ash.

We had a group of eight people for a birthday celebration. A bottle of wine was shared. With the hard liquor orders we were pleasantly surprised by the Texas ice cubes in the glasses. The food was good but the thing that stood out with the appetizers was the giant onion rings and the mini elk tacos. The Cervichi was served cooked which seemed really unusual and was unexpected and not liked. The BBQ ribs were good according to those who ate them. The hamburgers were okay. The meat tray was Texas style. I ordered the blackened bass. The shrimp I added to the dish was definitely the star. The broccolini was cooked perfectly and was still crisp. The French fries were rated high at our table. The asparagus was perfect! The green beans and corn were okay. The desserts included bread pudding and pecan pie with vanilla ice cream. Both were really good according to the table. I am gluten free so I was disappointed when the waitress didn't offer me a scoop of ice cream while everyone else was enjoying their shared desserts. The server disappeared and by the time she returned everyone was done so it was too late to ask. The service was okay but could have been a lot better. The food overall was good but was lacking in seasoning in many of the dishes. The overall cost was reasonable for the amount of people in our party. I really wanted to rate this restaurant higher but there were too many issues and the service was lacking. One of the servers actually handed my hot entree across the table which was awkward! I think it was 3.5 stars overall, but not an option on the rating scale provided.

Love the relaxed atmosphere. Very inviting and with a open view of the kitchen, it gives it a more, "I know what I'm doing in the kitchen" feeling. 🤍. Service was great! Rolando took care of us and Madison helped me with some great footage while I finished my meal. ❤️. Food was a decent price. Range 20 and up for a meal with good portions. Starter: Queso was delicious. Meal: BBQ ribs, Mac & Cheese and cornbread. Ribs were cooked to perfection, however the I was not a fan of the sauce. Mac was good, however the panko is not needed. It took away from the Mac. The cornbread was delicious. Meatloaf lovers.... skip this one. It tastes more like a Salisbury pattie. I heard it was made with pork. Sorry, not good. This was my birthday meal. I will say, due to service I will be back and the next time, I'll try the steak. 🤍

Sunday Brunch * If you are staying in Uptown and want a brunch spot, this might be worth trying. Parking garage a few steps away the validates parking when you come here (parking is typical big city, hard to find, easy to miss the public spots, etc) * We started with the Mini Elk Tacos and flavor house it is! Never had Elk before but nothing weird to it at all. For mains, we choose the Wagyu Pastrami Hash and the Crabcakes Benedict. Hash was nice and filling and the pastrami was perfect. The Benedict was my favorite flavor but mine had shells in every bite. It happens, not mad about it but that's the only reason this review was not a solid 5 of 5 stars. I'd order it again * Now, we mustn't forget about the cocktail right? The Judd and the Haywire were very nice selections if you like Old Fashioned's. I also tried the Texas Mule and that was my favorite. Will def be taking the jalapeño ingredient idea back home with me * Service at vibe we're awesome. Tastefully decorated and fast service all around. Plenty of space to pick seating from the bar, dining room or the outdoor patio. They even had a little camper setup with a table inside for those cute "do it for the gram" moments. Recommend checking it out if you are in town

The steak was a bit oversalted, but otherwise perfect. The wine list is great (and expensive), but with some affordable options. Service is great too.
