Customer Review Summary
Georgie offers a delightful dining experience with a cozy atmosphere and attentive service. Brunch highlights include delicious lattes and scones, though some entrees may not please everyone. Dinner standout dishes include butter-poached oysters, duck, and inventive cocktails, though some items like the fish were less impressive. Reviews praise the creative menu with unique touches, like the Big Mac snack and black truffle gnudi. The chocolate chip cookies are a must-try dessert, regarded as the best by many. While the service is highly rated, noise levels from music can detract from the fine dining experience. Overall, Georgie is recommended for its flavorful dishes and inviting ambiance, especially as it has gained recognition from the Michelin Guide.

Went here for Brunch and the atmosphere/ service were both wonderful. The lattes were delicious and I loved the scones. Our entrees weren't my favorite. It’s definitely unique. The egg casserole I ordered had an odd bread texture.

Generally excellent. French onion soup and duck were particular highlights. Gnocchi was likewise excellent. Fish had perfectly crispy skin but was a bit dry. Cheesecake was tasty but standard. The cocktails were inventive.

Visited Georgie and enjoyed the tasting menu, first impressions of this spot were on point with their retro chic interior with cozy couches and beautiful recessed lighting. Opted to start with their signature cocktail, The Georgie a picture perfect drink with nice light and bright balance. As for the tasting menu my favorites were the duck and the noodles but all courses were delicious that said for the price I feel like more was expected. I would come back but I'm not sure I'd do the tasting again. Between the wonderful staff and vibes it's worth it!

A chef with experience at French Laundry and Angler? Sign me up! I went to Georgie on a solo dining excursion during a business trip to Dallas, and I’m so glad I did. After reading countless other reviews, I ordered a la carte rather than doing the tasting menu, and although not every bite was memorable, the ones that were were some of the best things I’ve ever eaten. Specifically, the butter poached oysters and the duck were two dishes I still think about today, nearly a month after my visit. The other dishes were fine, but some fell just a tad short. The uni starter, for example, was nice but the citrus overwhelmed the delicate briny flavor of the uni, so it came across as a little off balance to me. There were some really creative items, like the Big Mac snack, which was a small morsel that tasted so much like a Big Mac, I thought it was like some king of Willy Wonka magic. The cocktail, recommended to me by my server, was also excellent. Which brings me to the service, which was some of the best I’ve ever experienced (shoutout to Maxwell). Attentive without being overbearing, and engaging without being intrusive. It felt like a fun, interactive dining experience. I would love to do it again. I have told all my friends to stop at Georgie next time they’re in Dallas, and I hope they will.

My wife and I recently dined at Georgie to celebrate a special occasion, and we were excited to experience it, especially with its potential for a Michelin Star at the time of dining (though at the time of writing, it has not received a star but was marked as 'Recommended' by the Michelin Guide). I started with both the traditional oysters and the butter-poached oysters. The butter-poached oysters were outstanding. While I enjoyed these, my wife savored the French Onion Consommé, which had a wonderful depth of flavor, and the Blackberry Smash mocktail, which was nice and refreshing. For the main course, I chose the dry-aged duck breast, and my wife ordered the ricotta gnudi. Both dishes were well-seasoned, offered decent portions, and were extremely enjoyable. The duck was tender, smoky, and cooked perfectly. The gnudi was pillowy, savory, and very well complimented by the black truffle and confit ragu. We also shared the fried green tomato, which, while good, was our least favorite dish of the evening. It felt like it needed an extra element—perhaps a bit more salt. The highlight of the evening, surprisingly, was the chocolate chip cookies for dessert. Without a doubt, these were the best cookies I’ve ever had. I would return just for them. Our server mentioned we were in for a treat, and although I was skeptical at first (thinking, “it’s just cookies” and only ordering them to satisfy my pregnant wife's craving), we were both blown away. Do yourself a favor and end your meal with these cookies—they are absolutely phenomenal! While the meal and service were outstanding, I couldn’t quite give Georgie 5 stars due to the atmosphere. This wasn’t an issue with the décor, lighting, or flow—it was entirely due to the music. The volume was too loud, making it difficult to converse without raising our voices. At times, it felt like we were shouting just to place our order. It was as if the restaurant couldn’t decide whether it wanted to be a fine dining establishment or a high-end bar/nightclub. To add to this, the music was occasionally explicit, which felt inappropriate for a restaurant of this caliber. It was surprising and severely off-putting to deal with such an issue in an otherwise elegant setting. Would this prevent me from returning? Ultimately, no. The food was magnificent and I would love to try more of the menu. However, I wouldn’t be surprised if the music was a factor that kept them from securing a Michelin Star.

What a delightful, peaceful and delicious brunch today at Georgie. We enjoyed outdoor seating and Robert was our server. We enjoyed the Omelet with Truffle Bechamel and the Couscous saladnwith mint basil drizzle, feta, olives poached egg and roasted cherry tomatoes. Our final treat was a Sorbet Ttio with strawberry, fig & pear sorbets. Stunning, delicious, beautiful presentation and outstanding service.

Georgie is newly, 2024, listed as recommended by Michelin Guide, and it does not dissapoint. Chef Yoakum spent 3 yrs at French Laundry, joining the founders of Bilboquet Dallas next door (from NYC). We popped in on a Saturday night early and were rewarded with the last two seats at the bar for some light bites before a party. All I can say was wow. Wonderful warm feeling inside - upscale but friendly. Staff dressed impeccably but not stuffy. Service sincerely nice. And, the food...OMG. The experience on the nose and palate with every morsel was incredible.

After dining at a new restaurant, I always like to ask myself if there were any dishes I, not only enjoyed, but would come back for. Georgie had several. It’s a restaurant that not only executes classic, staple dishes well, but also takes chances with original and creative menu items. A few standouts that I would (and have) come back for are the French onion consommé, the dry-aged duck, agnolotti, pink snapper, and the cheesecake.
