We had the fisherman platter and the surf and turf. The food was good, freshly made and tasted like home cooking. Savana, the waitress, was very friendly and attentive. The prices are also quite reasonable considering the area. I think we’ll be back next tome we visit the town.

I ordered the turkey and dressing special plate that they have on Sundays to go. The only good thing I can say about the food is I appreciate the extra dinner roll they gave me but other than that the food was not great to say the least. The turkey was dry, rubbery and had more cartilage/bone than anything else and had no taste. There was very little of the turkey compared to the pound of tasteless, dry cornbread dressing under it. The side of corn and mashed potatoes were okay nothing special. The only thing that had any taste was the side of cranberry sauce which I'm more than sure was from a can. Very disappointed especially for almost paying $20 for this one plate. The staff who helped me over the phone and at the counter was helpful and friendly. However, I more than likely never eat anything from this establishment again. Don't waste your time and money on this one. Not worth it.

Horrible food. Oh my goodness. I have never been so disgusted with a dining experience before. My medium-cooked steak was beyond gross. As soon as the waitress brought our steaks, something smelled putrid & I was the lucky one-it was my steak. I took a bite & it left the most sour taste in my mouth to the back of my throat , I couldn’t eat it. I didn’t want to send it back but the waitress saw my face with the first bite taken & I told her the truth-it was awful. I didn’t want another, I just gave it back. THEN, my mashed potatoes….OMG….were instant potatoes that weren’t even mixed. With the first spoonful scooped, all the flakes were exposed. Served faked potatoes and a gosh-awful steak. The waitress couldn’t believe they didn’t mix my instant potatoes , took them back and never returned to our table. The environment was uncomfortable, either they didn’t have the A/C on or it was set on a high temp with fans; however, it was still warm inside the restaurant. NEVER, EVER AGAIN will we go to Astor’s. We went bc I heard they served a good steak and recently won an award for them-but there’s absolutely no way. That description does not reflect our dining experience at Astor’s whatsoever. There’s just no way.

If you like a good restaurant don’t come to this restaurant. There’s several things that are wrong with this place. 1. No cleanliness at ALL. Floors are dirty. Tables are dirty. Plates are dirty. The floors are super greasy. Super gross. 2. Presentation is key for me. Our waiter was…..I don’t want to be mean to anyone but presentation isn’t a top priority. Do yourself a favor and don’t go. 🤮

I have not had this bad of an experience in many years. Was seated and the table and chairs had good on them from the previous guest. They brought out soup and bread. It was okay, however, my utensils had food on them from not being washed well. The steaks were old and absolutely disgusting. A group of us walked over from a nearby hotel and the parking lot had two cars. This was the sign to keep going. Save yourself the waste of time and money.

It's an older place but don't let that fool you. My mom used to bring us here when we were young. The food is excellent and the portions are a lot. Home made and the service is pretty fast. The owners are usually there and they are hospitable. overall experience was outstanding and my wife said that I better give it 5 stars. lol

We had good hopes for this place, not only for the ratings but also because it's CCs longest family owned restaurant. However, our experience was dismal. We gave two stars - One star was for the service. Our waitress was so sweet and very caring to us and especially our children. The second star was for our steaks being well seasoned. However, the restaurant itself has a smell and is quite dark and dirty. The water is DISGUSTING. It's highly chlorinated and tastes like pool water. A lady at another table said it tasted like bleach water. SO gross. Our 18mo toddler even took a sip, made a face and never drank from her cup again. Our steaks were undercooked. We ordered medium rare but it was waaaay more rare than medium rare. My steak came drowning in oil, which was completely unappetizing and was mostly fat. My side was supposed to be a loaded baked potato; however, it just came LOADED with cheese. It was more cheese than potato. The salad was fine. However, the Italian dressing it straight oil and herbs. Not appetizing. And it came with a huge chunk of a cucumber and a huge chunk of tomato. It was just odd. The spaghetti noodles were over cooked. Burger seemed premade/frozen. Overall, nothing at this restaurant is homemade or authentic. I feel this restaurant could really make a comeback if they eliminated a lot on their menu and actually started focusing on making things authentically, get a water filter, and maybe revamping/updating their atmosphere. Otherwise, this place is dead. We will never return, nor ever recommend people wasting their money here.

We REALLY wanted to like this place and had hopes it was a hidden gem. All things considered, including the manger berating employees in front of customers, the quality of food and service, avoid this place and spend your hard earned dollars elsewhere. Believe the poor ratings 100%. I took a picture of the t-bone steak I left on the table, which I have NEVER done.
