⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently dined at The Keg and had the pleasure of trying the blackened chicken. It was absolutely delicious! The flavors were spot on and cooked to perfection. Our service was exceptional at The Keg. Our server was organized, provided us with all of the options, quick to deliver drinks, appetizers, etc. And was very friendly. The food was outstanding. We ordered the Top Sirloin and Pistachio Crusted Salmon. Both dishes were prepared perfectly and tasted amazing. Highly recommend making a reservation and coming here for a date, eating at the bar or stopping off for a cocktail.

I was super excited to visit for my birthday! As a Canadian, going to The Keg has always been a tradition. When I found one in Arlington, Texas, we made the drive. We made a reservation, which I highly recommend. We were seated immediately, though there was a bit of confusion at first about who would be serving us. Once that was sorted out, everything was smooth. Fresh, hot bread arrived, and while I recommend having at least one piece, don’t fill up on it! We ordered the lobster bisque, but it arrived lukewarm, even though the bowl was hot. The server quickly took it back and brought us a piping hot replacement. We ordered the 10oz filet, cooked medium. However, it came out rare. We politely informed the server, who took it back to the kitchen. Surprisingly, the manager brought it back to us herself, and when we cut into it, it was still rare. She agreed and offered to have a new one prepared. After a bit of a wait, she returned with two fresh plates of food. By that point, we had already eaten most of our sides, so we had the steaks boxed up since we were too full to finish. The highlight of the meal was definitely the Billy Miner Pie, served with a sizzler—it was amazing! I highly recommend trying it if you haven’t already. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Dallas. The dessert alone is worth the trip!

Such a casual elegance to this place. The atmosphere was great for families and couples alike. The prime rib was amazing as well as twice baked potatoes. Austin, our waiter, was amazing. Just enough attention not overly bearing. Overall it was a wonderful experience and we will be returning soon.

Generous portions for happy hour. Will have to return to try other items like dessert.

To be honest I wanted to really love this place but everything was off. For starters I just got off of a 16 hour shift and was exhausted, not looking the best but I came presentable with my friend. We waited TWENTY MINUTES to be asked what we wanted to eat. The guy that got us water was great though and very nice. But the server seemed to not really care. Served the people directly seated behind us multiple times while ignoring us, our cups empty etc, yes we tried to flag her down but didn’t want to be rude and shout in an almost empty echoing restaurant to get her turned attention. Anyways. The steak tasted like a Walmart special and everything else was bland. Not worth any price if you ask me.

The prime rib and blackened salmon was exceptional. The mashed potatoes were perfectly seasoned. But above all else the service was second to none. Our server nick was patient very helpful and very kind. He went out of his way to show us the most value for our meal and what the best meals were. Would highly recommend.

The Keg in Lake Highlands from the outside doesn't look like your typical steakhouse there is no valet parking, there is an outdoor patio area, it is kid friendly but still tasteful. They have a kids menu with great selections even a sirloin steak if they want it. The seating is really designed for small parties - we had a party of six and had what seemed like the only large table in there. The food was delicious although the garlic shrimp for an appetizer was just so so. The calamari was good and there was a sauce with it they was so good we requested with our entree. Ask for Mr. B as a waiter he is attentive, funny, and excellent with remembering the small details
