J. Alexander's Restaurant

When you need to know for sure that you’ll have good food, good service and everything will go smoothly, you go to J.Alexander’s. We popped in for a couple of French Dips and carrot cake last week after being at the allergist next door and it was such a good experience. I’d forgotten what a comfortable and intimate feeling atmosphere they provide. It actually has ambiance and feels like a dining experience should. We are putting J Alexander’s in our regular rotation.

The food is amazing. However once you step in it seems like your not really welcome. My reservation was for 7 got here at 6:37 they said sorry it’s going to be closer to seven we will text you. Even though we waited less than 5 minutes to get seated a different approach would have made a huge difference. Our server was less than impressive. Overall having a place with so much potential have such a bad downfall based solely on the treatment your staff gives. This comes down to training, hiring, management, and the expectation of creating a great dining experience for everyone that comes through that door. ** update Jessica Manager reached out to hear about my experience. 100/10!!! Phenomenal service, exceptional food, down to the very last bite. I haven’t been this satisfied with a restaurant, I can’t even tell you how long. We went for a surprise birthday and was well taken care of… We said we were in no hurry we want to enjoy our meal we were never rushed. Every single thing, down to the cocktails, were spot on no complaints. BEST CARROT CAKE EVER!!!!! Can’t wait to go back. Thank you guys don’t ever change!!!❤️❤️❤️

We had an outstanding dinner at J. Alexander’s tonight. The hosts who greeted us were on top of everything. It was a very busy Friday night and they were all so professional, friendly, and composed! Our server, Fernando, was an absolute delight! He was so kind and helpful. Our food, too, was exceptional! I had the crab cakes and Fernando graciously allowed me to substitute the amazing mac and cheese for the side usually featured with the cakes. The cakes themselves were delectable, full of very fresh lump crab meat! We finished dinner with warm carrot cake and French press coffee, both wonderful! Jessica, the manager, was pure joy and light! J. Alexander’s is lucky to have such an outstanding talent at the helm. Tonight’s dinner was one to remember. Thank you, everyone at J.A.’s, for making us want to come back tomorrow!!!

Was very disappointed with my first experience at this location. I should have turned around when I saw how nasty dirty the doors an windows where upon approaching the front doors I can imagine what the kitchen looks like instead I gave it a shot because reviews stated that it was under new management so I ordered the steak Maui with a sprite which can to 60.16 $ the steak wasn’t even hot when I got it you can tell it had sat on the counter before someone bagged it up the marinade tasted like it was days old had a bitter sour taste to it the mashed potatoes were very dull looking it didn’t have the time to turn around an take it back such a waste of hard earned money very disappointed I will not be going bacc

Great atmosphere, menu and drink variety. Crab cakes were easily in my top 5 all time. Our server JD was excellent and made us feel at home. Definitely look forward to our next dinner here!
