If you’re looking for a top-notch steakhouse experience, Firebirds Wood Fired Grill is a must-visit destination. My recent dining experience there was nothing short of exceptional, and it’s clear why this restaurant continues to stand out among competitors. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, with attentive service that made the evening enjoyable. For my entree, I ordered the New York Strip steak cooked medium rare, paired with a loaded baked potato and steamed broccoli. The steak was perfectly cooked, boasting a juicy, tender texture with a flavorful char from the wood grill. It’s no surprise that Firebirds earned my vote for the best cooked steak of 2024–a well-deserved accolade. The loaded baked potato was generously topped with cheese, bacon and green onions, while the steamed broccoli added a fresh and healthy balance to the meal. To finish off this delightful experience, I indulged in their chocolate brownie dessert, which came drizzled with caramel syrup and served alongside a scoop of creamy vanilla ice cream. The combination of rich chocolate and warm caramel created a decadent treat that I highly recommend to anyone with a sweet tooth. Firebirds excels in every aspect: from food quality to ambience and service. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply craving an outstanding steak dinner, this restaurant delivers on all fonts. Be sure to try their New York Strip— it’s easily one of the best steaks I’ve had in years! 105 A+ Pro Tip: Don’t forget to save room for dessert— the brownie is worth every calorie!

First time visit. My wife has been intrigued for some time, but we’ve never taken the opportunity to dine at Firebirds. Thankfully, we were not disappointed! I’m not a foody food critic so I won’t pretend to be, however, we were both extremely delighted with our meals. We both ordered from the Three-Course Dinner portion of the menu. She had the mixed salad, Grilled Salmon & Shrimp (requested Gluten Free) and Ice cream for her desert. I chose the Caesar Salad (wonderful), Grilled Sirloin (medium), and Seasonal Bread Pudding (comes out hot with vanilla ice cream and a raspberry sauce on the side). She had water and I drank Sweet Tea (very good southern sweet tea). Absolutely nothing to complain about the food, service or facility. We enjoyed everything about our visit! If we were to be extremely “picky”, neither of us felt like the music playing over the speakers fit the atmosphere. It was a bit distracting. But that’s it! Everything else hit the mark. Normally we to not spend this much on a meal in Knoxville, but for special occasions, this will be our pick for sure! Thanks Firebirds for a great meal and first impression!

First time here - we did the THREE-COURSE DINNER plus another Entrée Butter + Bread: fresh bread, tasty butter SHAREABLE: we went with Ranch Rings and they were absolutely scrumptious. Perfectly crispy breading, soft onion, and the flavor of ranch well went with the rings. MIXED GREENS SALAD: delicious! I love how everything was perfectly diced same size. It looked and tasted very appetizing. I got a Wood Grilled Salmon + Parmesan Mashed Potatoes + Broccoli. Broccoli was perfectly seasoned and cooked through - soft but not mushy, and not crunchy. Parmesan Mashed Potatoes tastes creamy and thick, I enjoyed the cheesiness. Salmon was slightly flavorless. I would have liked to taste a little more seasoning on it. For another Entrée we got Cilantro Grilled Chicken + Mashed Potatoes + Broccoli. The dish came garnished with two onion rings and cilantro. Chicken is a breast and the dish comes with two pieces of chicken. It is cooked well, tender but not as juicy as I had hoped it’d be, though very good flavors. Mashed Potatoes and Broccoli were seasoned well. For dessert we went with a Brownie Sundae. Large scoop of ice cream, thin and soft brownie with a slightly crispy edge. For a drink we got The Double Black Diamond Martini and to our surprise, this drink beat every expectation! A mellow hint of coconut, slight hint of pineapple, and a super smooth taste. The name suits the drink - the drink tastes and looks as bougie as the name. SERVICE: professional and pleasant. Our leftovers were boxed and bagged for us, very kind gesture. ATMOSPHERE: we sat on the patio and it was such a vibe. Perfect lighting, enjoyable view and there are two TVs broadcasting sports and movies.

The server was “okay” we ordered 2 drinks from the bar right off and didn’t not receive them in a timely manner at all. Our appetizer and salads came out before drinks. I didn’t get the margarita I ordered until a split second before the food came. The server said the bar had to remix some simple syrup and was a mess.. I don’t think that excuses getting a simple drink almost an hour after ordering. My filet mignon was dry as a bone. I’m glad I ordered some butter on the side but the bacon wrap was completely burnt. The only thing we truly enjoyed was the lobster queso. Definitely didn’t live up to our expectations for the price and overall experience. Odds are will not be returning.

Drinks were kept empty. Ordered prime rib medium and it came out well done. They said they had it get mixed up in the kitchen. They eventually brought out what I ordered. Got the check eventually but didn’t receive a pen. Waited for 10 minutes and finally asked a different waiter walking by for a pen to leave a tip. Terrible service.

So I've reviewed here before and looooooooved it. They have always been great! And the food and drinks stellar, however.. today was off. Maybe it was the 'brunch' part of things? I don't know. I've been here for brunch before, so I wasn't expecting it to be different than before... It was. First off, dont be fooled by the picture on the brunch card. The salmon Benedict does NOT look like that 😵💫. It's not the same fruit when you order it and the salmon is much smaller. Honestly, I would rather one muffin with a larger salmon than two tiny ones with a really unattractive dark beige sauce over it that was tbf, not great. And my poached eggs were almost completely hard boiled. They brought me a new plate. Well, the sauce was the same, but at least the eggs were cooked perfectly this time... And the salmon was perfect. Drinks were great, except the coffee was not. Dessert was different. The lemon cake with a blueberry topping lacked the actual blueberries that used to be in the sauce. Not one single blueberry in it anymore. I guess they changed the sauce? I didn't know, but the cake was still very good. Just lacked the tartness of the whole blueberries to offset the sweetness of the cake. It's just not the same. Not sure if it's a fluke today, but not sure I'll bother coming back to find out. It's too bad because I would come and my 91 yo mom loved it so much. Now, I didn't know. She wasn't thrilled. Neither was I. Ever with the amazing cocktails.

Came in to eat after my grandmothers funeral and had an amazing experience. Definitely the best food I’ve had in a while. We had an absolutely amazing server, (Avery) that overheard us talking about the funeral and brought us a card and their amazing cheesecake on them. They even went as far as to pay for our food which really made my families night. Thank you so much for the amazing food, service, and people. We will definitely be back.

Excellent experience! I came up from Atlanta where we also enjoy this chain, and this location did not disappoint! Even though it was moderately busy, service was quick, efficient and excellent. Food was excellent. I would definitely return, and recommend this one to all!
