Yamato Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bar

My family and I have wanted to try Yamato out for the last year and just hadn’t stopped in. Well today was the day we stopped and I regret not coming in sooner. We chose to sit in a booth instead of at the hibachi grills. We ordered appetizers, Gyoza 🥟, tempura shrimp 🍤 and Bulgogi. I will say the appetizers were good but the Bulgogi wasn’t as sweet as it is at other restaurants but I asked for some sriracha and that made this bulgogi better. For our “meals,” we each ordered a sushi roll and then one sushi roll to share, making it 5 rolls total. We ate every last piece of sushi! They were very good!! We will go back again, for sure!

Surprisingly great for your typical hibachi, but better. The chicken and steak were cooked amazingly. The perfect temperature and exactly as I requested. The chefs are fun and while they don't entertain as much as others, I'm here for the food. The salad was decent, but the soup and meal was the real winner. Large portions and not too loud that you can't hear your party at the table. Just don't be like me and forget to grab your leftovers. 😭

Will NOT be returning. Customer service VERY POOR if I hand not already paid for my food I would of just left. Spent 25 dollars and they gave me 3 pices of ginger! Really on top of the rude lady att he front no thank you I will go else where. Be aware people!

The best I can say about the food is that it's mediocre. It wasn't horrible, but it also wasn't great. The chef was either new or not very good at his job. He cooked the steak great but overcooked the shrimp and scallops. The veggies were a mix of them being half overcooked and half undercooked. They picked up my salad and soup without asking if I was finished, which I wasn't. They also automatically charge an 18% gratuity for 4 people. I will probably not eat here again.

This place is beyond amazing. The outside of the building looks unassuming, but the inside is amazing. The food, chefs, and wait staff are absolutely wonderful. This place honestly deserves a Michelin star for the quality of food they serve. The filet mignon is delicious and tender. Please order it medium or below to ensure maximum flavor and quality. Yes this place is expensive, but it is worth EVERY penny! ❤️

The service was disappointing. The wrong order was delivered (shrimp instead of chicken), and instead of replacing the dish, they simply swapped the shrimp with chicken on the same plate. As a result, the chicken tasted like shrimp. The portion sizes were inconsistent, and it seemed like they don’t have standard portion controls; the plate appeared randomly filled. While the establishment offers like fast food, the pricing is more in line with a fancy restaurant, making it overpriced for the type of food and service. I will not be returning and would not recommend this place to others
