We went to dinner tonight. It was very good . The food was excellent. The waitress was on the ball. The ambience is excellent. The restaurant is expensive. This restaurant is the nicest restaurant in Tulsa that I have been to so for. Go and you will see what I mean.

EDIT 2025: My 3rd visit was again top notch, and I was even pleasantly surprised to learn that the chef had made a point of preparing a vegan/gluten free off-menu meal for my date on Valentine's day. Upon being greeted by the server, she confirmed the allergy details and let us know that the chef had already started something for her (no obiligation of course). The entire meal was perfect and service was wonderful. This place remains my goto for special occasion meals. 2024 Review: I have now been here twice and while my first visit was somewhat uneven, my second visit was what I had hoped for from a restaurant of this caliber where I had high expectations. This is a very elegant restaurant hidden in the bottom of an apartment building on 15th Street with comfortable seating throughout and is the perfect location for a romantic evening or special event. Service was top notch (thanks to Angel and AK) with attention to every detail, extensive options and accommodations for my companion's dietary restrictions, and an overall wonderful experience. We essentially ordered the same items (NY Strip and Salmon) but with a different side item on this visit. From the previous visit, I can say that the Au Gratin potatoes and Mac and Cheese are amazing, I would add the brussell sprouts to the list of great side dishes based on the latest dinner. I also recommend the wedge salad for the addition of dill to the creamy herb dressing. Having been to a few steakhouses in the Tulsa area, and many across the country, I can safely say that this is one worth visiting again for an upscale, high quality experience.

So I went here for my 34th birthday, I had a guest list of 10 people. When I say I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to enjoy a good meal with a group of friends. Staff was beyond rude especially the general manager. A few ladies went into the restroom together to help with a wardrobe malfunction, and the manager came beating down the door told my guest in the rudest way possible that they weren’t allowed to do that. Then when i asked the waitress what the problem was to help address it, the manager came rushing to our table telling me if i have a problem i needed to address her not the waitress. Then told me and my guest we could just leave. Didn’t even get to eat and it completely ruined my birthday. I left feeling ashamed and embarrassed. I really hope she has better days because that was beyond unprofessional. Super uncomfortable to get up and leave from a place I planned for over a month to be at .

We went to Hemingway for our 20th anniversary and it was superb. The atmosphere is romantic and soothing with high end class everywhere. The food was amazing. Best Beef Tartare we have ever had. The Pork Chop Special from Spain was wonderful and the Dry aged Steak was delicious. And we asked the chef to come up with a dessert for us since my husband has a dairy allergy, James did wonderfully! Julie and all the other staff were great! An amazing evening! Highly recommend this restaurant, it hits all the marks!

I loved Hemingway the minute we walked in. We came in through the elevator which was obviously BTS but a host greeted us right away and led us to the host stand. We did not have reservations and opted to sit at the bar. The atmosphere is cozy and the vibe is laid back and comfortable. The bar is beautiful! We sampled a few house cocktails which were incredibly tasty and beautiful (Vampire and Love’s Kiss something or other). We ordered foie gras, 1/2 dozen oysters, wedge salad, steak frites, and crab/lobster billi bi (soup). Everything was excellent. I wouldn’t order the billi bi again just because I prefer an actual bisque. The bread is also SO good. It’s the crowning jewel to the trio of restaurants: Kilkenny’s, Nola’s, and Hemingway - great restaurateur! I usually get dessert but I was full and didn’t push it. Next time! Maybe next weekend! Can’t wait to go back.

As a single person when I usually go out to eat; either i feel uncomfortable being in a upscale place due to its more suited for a couple or a group or treated oddly because I’m alone. NOT THIS PLACE! The ambience suited for intimate or private occasion still allows for someone to come enjoy themselves no matter the occasion. I had no reservation and did a walk in with plans on sitting in the bar. There was just a small wait and quickly found a seat at the bar. (Will say if you have to do any waiting there is no waiting area, so you are asked kindly to wait outside or at the upstairs bar and then will text you when its your time.) The whole place is phenomenally gorgeous including the bar. The drinks were fantastic, the food delicious and the service impeccable. This is one of those gems that I would find in a major metropolitan city like New York. Has a elegant speakeasy feel to the whole place. All the major points are covered wonderfully but as I say the devil is in the details and thats where this place stands out. The wonderful coasters and leather placemats at the bar, the unique elegant silverware and even the matchbooks that have their logo on them. Their simple yet elegant menus are simple yet outstanding. You can tell a lot of attention was made into the creation of this place and it shows! Food wise; I had planned on getting a steak but when I heard of their pasta feature then I quickly switched. I started with their Caesar gratine which is their Caesar which is passed under a broiler briefly. Will say that gave it a unique flavor that was delicious. The pasta puttanesca was fabulous. I make a mean one and this rivaled mine but they added mussels to it which was superb. Finished the dinner off with their pot du creme which was delicious as well. Their drinks were wonderfully made. The beverage director Scott Phillips was expertly handling those drinks all the while looking very sharp in his suit. As i finished up the evening the manager Michael Hines came by to check on things which was a nice touch. Highly recommend and will definitely be returning.
