Customer Review Summary
Osaka Steakhouse & Sushi Bar has received multiple negative reviews focusing on poor service, cleanliness, and inadequate dining experiences. Several patrons highlighted ongoing issues with the restrooms, describing them as consistently dirty and poorly maintained. Many reviews specifically criticized the lack of entertainment from hibachi chefs, noting that they failed to perform tricks or engage with diners, which is a key aspect of the hibachi experience. Service was frequently described as slow and unhelpful, with servers being rude or inattentive to customer needs. While some diners enjoyed the food, there were complaints about specific dishes being bland or improperly prepared, such as dry shrimp and overcooked chicken. Several guests expressed disappointment that the restaurant did not meet their expectations for a fun and interactive dining atmosphere. Overall, there's a general consensus that without improvements in service quality and bathroom cleanliness, customers are unlikely to return.

Disappointing Bathroom Conditions Persist I’ve been a loyal customer of Osaka for a few years now, but the state of their bathrooms continues to disappoint. I’ve held off on leaving this review, hoping the issue would be addressed over time. Unfortunately, nothing has improved. The bathrooms are consistently dirty, which is unacceptable for any establishment. Additionally, the paper towel situation is beyond frustrating—you simply cannot dry your hands with the meager 4-inch strips they provide. It’s an easy fix, yet nothing has been done despite multiple visits and opportunities to address this. Osaka, it’s time to step up and take your bathroom cleanliness seriously. A clean restroom is a basic expectation, and it reflects directly on how much you value your customers. Please do better.

Place is going downhill! We’ve eaten here on many occasions. We come for an experience, not the food! My kid recently requested this for their Birthday dinner and was excited to come! We got an older gentleman as our chef and he didn’t do a single trick or make a single joke, nothing. Ruined my kids birthday dinner and we all left disappointed. Safe to say no one comes here to watch someone quietly cook their dinner table side, they come for the show and the experience! To not have any of that was a huge let down for any hibachi restaurant, especially since the food is mediocre compared to real Asian cuisine!

Where to begin. Since the moment we walked through the door, service was terrible. We weren't told to follow the hostess to our table, she just walked away from us. We were seated and no one came to our table for 10 minutes. I had to flag a server down and ask for a server. When one finally showed up, she was rude and acted as if we were inconveniencing her. She left and we didn't see her again till we flagged someone down for our check. My shrimp from the lunch menu was dry and there was NO flavor at all. Usually we bring our left overs, but it wasn't worth it. They put zucchini and one slice of mushroom down for our "veggies" and had a mound of bean sprouts with no flavor. I have to say, out of all the Japanese steakhouses we've been to, this is the 2nd worst one. We will not be back! Oh, the tables stayed dirty for 15 minutes and they weren't even busy! Don't go here!

Came here for my 22nd birthday in February. We had a larger party so we had to get 2 tables in the party room. The first table got their chef almost 20 minutes before us (they may have been busy and I can understand this to an extent), and the service was wow. The man didn’t introduce himself nothing. Asked us our order and then… cooked. In my experience here before they do tricks, talk to guests, and make the whole hibachi thing a memorable experience. This guy just cooked. Gave us our food, and left. All this while our other tables chef was getting the best service with tons of interaction. Kinda upsetting that we were the ones who paid for a majority of the food and we didn’t even get half of what you go there for.

Each month my husband and I try something new, hibachi is not new as it’s my favorite however Osaka was new to us! We stopped in on a Sunday around 1pm with the expectation of a busy crowd. We were pleased to hear there was only a 5 min wait! We were sat quickly, and from the beginning the service wasn’t promising, we waited a while to get our drink orders taken, but we waited patiently. I was shocked to hear they didn’t have Dr. pepper, but maybe it was just they were out. Our orders were taken and some time went by and the soups and salad started to come out, by this time a lot of drinks were empty on the table and refills were not given. To touch more on the refills, they were finally offered as the to go boxes were being brought after our meal, we didn’t see our server to even be able to ask and the soup and salad bowls remained on the table our whole meal. You can tell through my photos the restaurant was not so busy they couldn’t refill drinks. Our cook came out and began to cook, he quickly noticed he was missing food for our table and repeatedly had to ask servers to help him out and go grab multiple items, some that weren’t received until the end of our meal like shrimp for example they only had the appetizer shrimp plated for him and he was missing steaks. As far as hibachi goes we have had some great cooks who are interactive and just make it an awesome time, and we’ve been to other places where they were terrible. For our cook at Osaka, he was.. okay. He was kind but not really interactive, he did the “Volcano” and that was the all of “the show” there was no tossing of egg or anything like you get most places and we even saw happening across the room at another table. However, I will say as far as food goes..Osaka is great!! I ordered the filet and shrimp and my husband ordered the chicken and steak, he did say the chicken was really dry, but I find that’s most always at a hibachi grill. Overall the restaurant was nice and clean (with the exception of the women’s bathroom, it needed a lot of attention when we were there). The food was fantastic and we would definitely go back again for another shot at better service! Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Service ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Went for the sushi, the nigiri was pretty good, the cuts of fish were very large, service was excellent and I enjoyed the atmosphere. Real issue was the avocado and ahi dish said it came with Japanese rice cakes (to put the avocado and ahi on to eat it) and it arrived without it, on a bed of lettuce (but not romaine or something you could use to eat it) picture included. Ask the server, she said they haven’t served those rice cakes in ages, she brought the menu where it clearly says Japanese rice cakes… manager comes by and just shrugs and leaves. My friend ordered one as well, charged full price for both and nothing to replace the rice cakes…imagine ordering two sandwiches and they come without the bread…and getting charged full price for them. The ahi and dipping sauce were good, but damn we had an expectation based on what was supposed to be included and the manager just left our server out to dry…. Makes you wonder what else they are willing to screw you on…

All the food was great. When I take my kids to hibachi though it's mainly for the show . Our cook didn't do half of what they typically would. I also asked for no onion in mine and he said he could do that for me and then told me how most of the other cooks would tell me no buy he would do it for me. Asked me multiple times about it. And then proceeded to cook everything together and jumped the most onions on my plate.

Food was good, compared to other hibachi restaurants, I did not like the food as much. I also had wished that there were options for the soup, there is only Osaka soup, which was decent but other hibachi places there is egg drop soup, which is my favorite. They had a lot of hibachi tables, which was awesome. We saw so many people that we thought we would have to wait but actually got right in, no wait. Heads up, they do not take reservations. Meals came with ice cream!
