I have been gong to Jamils my whole life, when they were still off 51st & Harvard. The original one. I absolutely LOVE this place honestly it's probably my favorite place of all time and has been. Great everything!! I'm sorry to see they are closed. I really hope it is just temporary. Luv you guys

Gotta say, First timer here and fell in love instantly! Very nice old school dark atmosphere with a great decor. My waiter Jack provided me with outstanding service. It’s a family affair here, his mother came out and checked on me to make sure my meal was satisfactory. Indeed it was. I ordered a ribeye medium rare and it came with a basket of ribs, fried bologna and tabouli. What a deal! That basket was an amazing start and finished off with a perfectly cooked steak. Side note, a special thanks to Jack and Gio from United States Aviation FBO. Left my credit card at the restaurant and Jack was able to get it to Gio who held on to it until I left out of the FBO next day. Saved me an Uber and a lot of heartache. Your efforts were appreciated. If you’re looking for a great steak, awes value and spectacular customer service, look no further. If you’re in Tulsa, this has to be your go to. Come out and support your local restaurants and avoid chains! I highly recommend this place.

had a great experience here! took some friends from out of town to dinner and wanted something unique to Tulsa. Haven't been here in a while and was delighted to find the same great service and food that they have been known to have for so many years. The tall blond headed guy provided great service. The hostess let us pick whatever table we wanted as it was not extremely busy on a Tuesday night. It is hard to find a coursed meal with such unique flavors as this. We were all still talking about it the next day. Thank you for great food and great service!

1st time visitors. Staff was extremely attentive, and we didn't wait for anything, hor d'oeuvres at our table immediately! My steak was a bit raw for my taste, but I'm used to other steakhouses cooking my 'medium' as well-done. So that's on me! Pictures don't do the place justice! EXTREMELY SATISFIED WITH EVERYTHING!

Our waiter was a little slow to refill drinks. The food was amazing. Great atmosphere.

Saturday night place was busy but like a smooth running locomotive service was good and the food even better. Jack was our waiter. Ordered large filet Pittsburgh medium rare with lobster tail and a petite filet medium with extra crispy shrimp. Food arrived hot and cooked just as we had ordered. Steaks were tender and the lobster fresh like you’d get on a coastline. Was taken aback at how good the smoked ribs and bologna are for a steakhouse. You could put them up against ok joes rib crib Albert g and burn. Humus with fresh veggies and pita bread yum. Tables were spaced well and all waitstaff had masks on covering their nose. Family owned Tulsa owned Since 1945 that’s 76 years. Jim “Jamil” Elias started it and his family is still successfully running it. Pictures of Muhammad Ali Jim Carey Wynona Judd Steve Owens Mike Gundy Barry Switzer Tommy Lasorda Steve Garvey local comedian Sam Kinison Wynona Judd Willie Nelson the Tulsa City Council multiple mlb baseball umpires. Asked waiter Jack about the pictures he said Kristen Chinoweth was in 2 weeks ago. There it was by the carry out window when we were leaving an autographed picture of her and her family under the neon entrance sign to the restaurant. Jamil’s is a part of Tulsa history. Thanks for a great evening we live in Bartlesville but it’s well worth the drive!

We went there for my birthday/anniversary. First, you couldn't tell they were open with the For Sale sign up and no cars. We both ordered the ribeye dinner. The tabouli was watery, the salad was wilted and the steak was ok. It's been better. The waiter was great. The food was just ok. When we left, a car full of people pulled up and asked if they were open. The atmosphere was just ok.

DISCLAIMER: I'm honored to be a Top 10 Reviewer for Google. I do my best to be fair and honest but realize your experience may differ from mine. So, please keep that in mind when considering this restaurant, establishment, and/or venue. REVIEW: Jamils is not what it used to be in it's hay day. The relish dish with carrots, celery, etc., was very skimpy. I ordered the Shish kabob dinner and it came with green bell peppers and okra veggies not with tomato and onion. They said they were out of them. Although the meat was tasty, I was disappointed in the veggies. The past few times we've gone there over the past several years they are always out of something -- last time they were out of steak! It just isn't consistent anymore. All the food that we received at our table got good reviews from those eating it. The service was very good but there were only two other tables in the restaurant with customers. I remember when you used to have to stand in line to get a table there. Final note:. When they have the food you want and order, it's tasty. But don't be surprised if they substitute something they're out of without telling you first about the change.
