Customer Review Summary

Vast is highly praised for its stunning views and excellent service, making it a popular choice for special occasions. Many diners highlight the delicious food, with standout dishes including the 'Whipped Bone Marrow', 'Pan-Seared Rack of Lamb', 'Pan-Seared Duck', and 'Vast Potatoes'. The lunch buffet offers a good deal with a variety of options, though some note that the quality may not match fine dining standards. However, there are mixed reviews regarding the food quality during dinner, with some dishes being criticized for lack of flavor and freshness. Service receives consistent acclaim, with staff often going above and beyond to enhance the dining experience. Diners recommend making reservations for window seats for the best views, but groups may face challenges with seating arrangements. Overall, Vast is regarded as a restaurant worth visiting, especially for anniversaries and celebrations, despite some criticisms regarding specific meals.

Amazing! In town for our honeymoon from Arkansas for the weekend! We got married yesterday on our 7 year anniversary and wanted to get away! The valet, Jesse B, was such a gentleman. He opened my door to get out of the car and left us with a few kind words before we began our evening! Started dinner with the 'Whipped Bone Marrow', it was light and hearty, highly recommend. I ordered the 'Pan-Seared Rack of Lamb', perfectly cooked, melted in my mouth. And the 'vast potato' was such a unique suprise! My husband ordered the 'Pan-Seared Duck', a little over done but still tender. The quality and flavor combination pairings made up for it. Service was prompt, professional and left us waiting for nothing. Ending the meal with the 'Chocolate Macadamia Nut Pavé', smooth, rich, absolutely amazing! The kitchen gets 5 stars from us! We loved everything!! Before leaving our servers assistant Luke helped top off the evening by showing us a quiet windowed room to take a few photos to remember our night! He asked how long we were in town and mentioned Vast does lunch and recommended we come back for that before we leave! He gave us a few more recommendations for the rest of our 4 day weekend and left us to enjoy the view before we headed out. When we came back down, Jesse B met us with our truck, asked us about our evening and showed us how we could leave a review! I mentioned these 2 guys by name because they really shined for us in making the evening memorable! We plan to come back for every anniversary for years to come!!

Lunch buffet is hands down a great deal. The food is pretty good for a buffet, the meat was dry at times, but you don't really come here for a lunch buffet expecting gourmet food. You come here for the view, which was AMAZING. It's great to be able to get a very high view of the entire city and see areas where we visited. For the price per person, it's like a museum entry with food included so I recommend it. The entire restaurant was very clean and well kept.

Little Flip Out worked hard and earned a reward on something, so to celebrate his hard work, he wanted to go to Vast. We went for lunch and had their daily lunch table, which is always delicious and fun to see their new options. Little Flip Out enjoyed the whole experience: choosing different foods, watching out the windows at the world below, and having a more formal dining experience. The daily lunch table always has a wonderful selection of meats, sides, and desserts. Seasonal vegetables and dishes are a regular feature and always wonderful. With the spectacular views, delicious menu, and excellent service, a visit to Vast is always memorable.

The Vast kitchen has given up … so disappointed. But let’s go over the particulars first, the little app they brought was some kind of mousse on a stale piece of bread … could not eat it. Second, the bread … came from a freezer. I asked the waiter and he told me “yep” … those are taken out of the freezer to rise … zero points for fake bread. On the potage … this gruel was made not from stock but from salty bouillon … the worst example I have ever tasted. The salad my date had was very good … on to main courses … my date had the scallops and they were under … when told, they want to argue about it … my lamb was done pretty well, but lacked an attention (had unrendered fat) … now to the service … it was excellent! The staff makes up for poor food but they can’t carry the day. … stay away from the Vast emptiness of flavor. The manager did approach and I asked him to ask the chef made the stock was made … he came back with a lie … as he said it was made from a stock pot 😳. You could obviously tell it wasn’t. He did comp me $93 bottle of wine …. Finally, I had to get something to eat after I ate there … a Vast Conspiracy

Absolutely beautiful restaurant and get a window seat unless your partner is scared of heights. Food was absolutely delicious. My scallops melted like butter in my mouth. The corn/tomatoe bisque was amazing never thought that combo would have worked but the corn really helped with the acidity of the tomatoe. Now the vast potatoes were the absolute best potatoes I've ever had!! A must try for anyone new to here. The strawberry shortcake was so delicious and creamy!! A great place for a special occasion!

Came here with my husband for our 2nd anniversary. Very pleasant experience for a once a year dinner. The only thing I didn't like where the carrots that came with my dish. They were very crunchy? Maybe that's how the dish comes. Everything else was absolutely stunning. Overall 5 stars.

The blonde lady that was there to greet the guests downstairs was rude. I was asking her a question, she started talking to others coming in then put her finger up to me to tell me to wait. Definitely dampered my experience upon arrival. The food was good though. I would have liked a larger portion. Also If you are going with a large party you can forget about having a window seat for the view. Unless you pay for the private rooms. But I truly did enjoy the food. Try the duck, strawberry basil sorbet, butternut squash soup, fries are very good aswell

Man was this place an absolute hoot, the atmosphere the food and all was out of this world. I can’t wait to go for a date night again. We even got a free dessert for the wife’s birthday!
