Customer Review Summary
Cattlemen's Steakhouse is an older restaurant with a lively atmosphere, though it's somewhat cramped. The steak is consistently praised as thick, juicy, and cooked to perfection, making it a standout feature. While the rolls are excellent, salads can be hit or miss, with some reviewers noting underwhelming ingredients. The service is generally friendly, but there are mixed reviews regarding attentiveness and consistency. Appetizers like Lamb Fries received high praise, but the quality of others, such as fried okra and calf fries, varied. The ambiance is considered dated and a bit unkempt, which affects the overall experience. Prices hover around $45 per person, which some feel is reasonable given the steak quality, though others were disappointed by certain aspects of the meal. The house dressing for salads is a highlight for many diners, despite its unappealing appearance. Overall, diners recommend Cattlemen's for a classic steak experience but mention potential wait times and mixed food quality.

This is an older somewhat cramped location, but it has personality and life to it. I was there with a group from work, and they were able to squeeze us into a little alcove to ourselves. I got the lunch steak with a salad and mashed potatoes and rolls. The salad was OK, but you don't go here for salads. The rolls were excellent with a lovely yeasty flavor. I ate too many of them. The steak was excellent: thick, juicy and perfectly medium. The wait staff was friendly and took good care of us. I was delighted to see that they took time to chat with the older men dining along. That was nice of them.

I have been hearing a lot people say, if the line is long at Cattlemen’s then just go across the street to McClintocks cause you can walk right in and get a good steak. This is just not a true statement. There is a reason why Cattlemen's always has a line and McClintocks doesn’t. Let’s start with the Lamb Fries!! These are a must! Soooo tender and sooo good. Yes, I know they are lamb testicles, but good food is good food! Do yourself a favor and order them to start off the meal. I got the Blue Ribbon Ribeye and I was not disappointed! It was cooked to perfect! Super tender, very juicy, the flavor profile is exactly what I would expect! Everything was great! Almost left out the salad, oops. Make sure you get the house dressing on the salad! You will thank me. This is a must go to spot if you come to OKC!

Cattlemen’s Steakhouse offers a mixed dining experience. While the steak is a highlight, cooked to perfection and flavorful, the service leaves room for improvement, with waitstaff occasionally forgetting about customers. The appetizers varied in quality; the onion rings were crispy, but the fried okra seemed stale. The salad was underwhelming, featuring wilted lettuce and thick dressing. The ambiance felt dated and somewhat unkempt, contributing to an overall cheap feel. At around $45 per person, it’s a decent option but may not warrant a return visit given the inconsistencies.

This is in my top 2 best meals ever. First, the salad with House dressing: I got the dressing on the side, because I had heard good things but was still a little nervous. When it arrived, looking like a bowl of mayo with paprika sprinkled on it, my reservations grew larger still. Upon tasting it however, I doused my whole salad in it, and wish I could have bought a bottle to take home! Don't let its appearance scare you. It is creamy and a little garlicky and absolute perfection. Step aside Olive Garden; there's a new best salad dressing in town! Secondly, the croutons were big rounds they brought to the table in a basket. This is my new favorite way to have croutons with a salad, because I could get the exact amount I wanted with each bite, and then they don't shatter when you try to spear them with your fork. I also may have finished the extra croutons by shamelessly dipping them in the leftover dressing. Next up, the steak. The tender texture, and the perfect steak flavor was the most exquisite steak I have ever had in my life. And will probably ever have. We split the top Sirloin, and when they brought the extra plate, it had steak juices all over it already. I thought it was interesting that they had pre-juiced my plate, but I quickly discovered why. That was all the sauce this steak needed! I sopped each bite in those jucies until they were gone. I really think I could have drunk those steak juices. If you eat one steak in all of Oklahoma, go here! Between the steak and salad dressing....nowhere else can top it!!

Great place to get a classic steak. Breakfast and dinners are usually pretty busy so be prepared for a wait. Food is definitely worth it though. We have the western omelet and Chicken Fried steak. Both really good. The omelette is big enough for two.

Service was excellent, it seems crowded and kinda dark and outdated but tolerable. The appetizer we ordered was the calf fries, thin cut not much flavor but tender, all you could taste was breading which had a good taste. My catfish was a little rubbery not flaky, good amount and nice breading. The steak, ribeye, was really good! Flavor great, tender, cooked just right. Baked potato skin was awful! Needs oil and salt! Dressing wasn't quite up to par, too thick like it wasn't stired up enough and needed more seasoning. 75$ probably come back for steak but not very often

Top notch service and food! Parvana was an amazing server, our food came out hot and steaks cooked perfectly. Delicious Apple Pie 10/10! Visiting from Texas worth the stop will return in the future.

Stopped here for a late lunch on a road trip and loved the classic western interior. Husband got a chicken fried steak and he said it was great. I got the sirloin lunch special. Perfect amount of food and couldn't beat the $12.95 price for a small sirloin, baked potato, roll, salad, and homemade croutons. Good stop if you want a decent meal for a good value
