The Chop House - Toledo

My husband and I had dinner at The Chop House before the Walleye game. Since it was 5 PM, the restaurant wasn’t too crowded. The elegant ambiance and stunning riverwalk view made for a great dining experience. Our server was friendly and attentive. We started with the French Onion Soup and shared the Surf & Turf, mushrooms, and a baked potato—it was the perfect portion for both of us. My husband enjoyed his Old Fashioned, and I loved my Lemon Drop. We can’t wait to return!

My husband surprised me with reservations at the Chop House for our 1 year anniversary. One of the many things I love about this restaurant is the very high quality of service you will receive. It gives you an enjoyable experience. Liz W. Was incredible and made our night perfect with the flow of service. Our old fashions were the best I’ve seen in the city! Our steak was incredible and we were surprised with a desert and card from the staff. The view was incredible to look out on the water and see the bridge lights. It’s now our anniversary spot forever. 🌸💗

My husband and I ate here for our wedding anniversary, and let me tell you - we both had the BEST steaks we ever had here! Not only was the food delicious, but the service was spectacular. Roxie made sure we were taken care of, and even brought us a card and truffles for our little celebration. Highly recommend!

Went here 4 years ago for a a double birthday, we were back again for the same celebration with 15 people and let me say it was amazing! Excellent service, some say they are very slow but the crew handling our table was on top of things!

The place is beautiful. The waitress was not very pleasant. Seemed bothered by anything. I was less than impressed with the steak and the presentation. I ordered it medium. The green beans were good and the chocolate dessert was good.

The place is very beautiful & nice inside, so it was very surprising at the sub-par dirty restrooms, definitely not what you'd expect at a high-end restaurant as this. If you don't like valet parking, good luck finding some seriously. The service was wonderful. I personally had the salmon, and it was delicious, a little salty, but not so bad you couldn't eat it. The house salad was my favorite part of the entire meal . I'd rather just have that as an entrée. The calamari was delicious! My husband did love his steak, so their beef is worth the hype. The mini muffin style rolls were good in my opinion i hope you don't want more than one, each guest only gets one and for the price of a glass of wine, you'd at least think they fill up your glass halfway. We were a table of 10 and only the 3 people who order chicken were sick the next couple days and one of the ladies that took their leftovers home gave to her husband not knowing she was to be sick he also ended up sick so it had to be the chicken. They do have an exquisite whiskey selection & lovely views of downtown, but the price of everything didn't measure up to the experience.

They even gave us a small dessert and a handwritten card since it was both of our birthdays! That was such a nice touch. I think this will definitely be our celebratory restaurant from now on.
