Customer Review Summary

Sakura Japanese Steak House offers a mixed experience in hibachi and sushi cuisine. The hibachi dishes received varying feedback: the filet mignon was deemed solid but slightly overcooked, while the shrimp was preferred over chicken, and the calamari was considered average. Service was described as friendly but occasionally slow, with reports of items being forgotten or mismanaged, leading to disappointing experiences. Some customers praised the strong cocktails and entertaining hibachi chefs, while others noted the decline in food quality and portion sizes over time. Positive remarks highlighted the ambiance and the freshness of sushi offerings, with a specific nod to the Money bags appetizer and the size of the sashimi portions. Overall, while some found the quality and service improved during busier times, others expressed dissatisfaction with service and food consistency, leading to hesitation in returning.

Sakura is a solid choice for hibachi style cuisine. I had the filet mignon hibachi and my wife had the chicken and shrimp hibachi. I really liked my vegetables, the filet mignon was solid but somewhat overdone. My wife said she liked her shrimp better than the chicken. Service was ok but seemed a little slow as they weren't that busy when we came in. Wait staff is friendly and are attentive. If you are in the mood for hibachi style food they are worth the look in Toledo. The calamari we had for an appetizer was ok but nothing special.

I used to love this place, but the food has gone so far downhill from what it used to be. Everything tastes cheap. Other Japanese restaurants in the area are surpassing it. Opened up part of my roll to discover there was nothing in it!

Enjoyed the food here. The cocktails were strong but good! The dynamite is highly recommended to try! The hibachi chefs are very entertaining. Would be great experience for large groups to enjoy!

Husband and I tried this place out last Sunday. He got the Sashimi and I got the three roll combo. The only negatives were the miso soup wasn't very good and his salad was swimming in dressing when they brought it out. No joke, it ended up looking like lettuce soup. He was incredibly impressive with his main course, the sashimi pieces were huge. He says this is our new go- to place for sashimi. My rolls were also good, I got the eel roll, salmon with avocado, and the rock n roll roll.

We came to spend some time with our family. We had come many times! The rolls are getting smaller and smaller. I always order angel roll (it's very good) but they reduced the size. My partner ordered a tempura roll, and the waitress never knew which one was the tempura roll. The most unpleasant thing was that we asked for a change of roll and the waitress FORGOT no sauces on top. We asked for angel roll again, and the manager came over to practically kick us out. It's a shame that they changed the chef or the waitress doesn't know how to recommend the menu to the customer. and I ended up kicking us out. Bad service. I won't be back.

This was our first time there. We thoroughly enjoyed our food. Our chef was ok. He was friendly, but too soft spoken. We were good first group of the night, so maybe that had a little to do with it. We'll definitely be back!

We forgot to schedule a reservation for Christmas this year, our Christmas dinner tradition. They were still able to seat us fairly quickly on a very busy night. The food was the best it has been in years, our Chef was friendly and skilled, and we were not at all rushed. Delicious food, fun atmosphere, great service and huge portions.

This place was awesome! The interior is beautiful! A little waterfall will greet you as you come in over a cute little bridge. We sat in a booth although they have hibachi options. Our waitress, Amanda, was kind, informative, and overall splendid. I highly suggest asking to sit in her section if and when you visit. I got the sushi bar which came with chef picked fish, a California roll, and an option of soup or salad. Amazing! My husband and I split the Money bags as an appetizer. Oh my gosh, if you like crab Rangoon you will love the Money bags! My husband got the Sashimi bar and he loved it. The quality of the food was above any sushi restaurant I've been to. They have very interesting party seating in the window room. It reminds me of a conversation pit. Like if you go here check out those seats 😂. I wouldn't be able to get out lol. They also have a private hibachi room for parties. It was open on Tuesday and all the sushi places in Bedford I know of are closed on Tuesdays. It was not busy at all for a Tuesday lunch. There were a total of three other tables in the restaurant occupied. So if you prefer quieter locations this is the spot. They have an accessible ramp to get in from the parking lot and handicap parking next to it. I did not check out the restrooms.
