Rating as 4 stars based on mine and my partner’s experience. We decided to beat out the Saturday night crowd and arrived at 5:30ish. There is a parking lot across the street that was pretty full when we arrived. However, when we asked the host for a table for two we were seated immediately. At the time of writing this review the restaurant looks to be approximately 50% full. There is also a bar area and tables in the front of the restaurant that is first come first serve. The website also mentions they take reservations. Service was excellent. Our server (shout out to Isabella) was patient while we perused the menu, ordered drinks, appetizers, and entrees. The appetizer came out very quickly, like less than 10 minutes after ordering, but that could be because it’s still very early evening. We were also offered delicious bread and salted butter with our meal. Entrees came out fast as well (again, we ate at like 6pm or so). The food: we ordered the buffalo shrimp appetizer, horseradish encrusted tuna, and the chef’s trio. I liked the appetizer; he felt the shrimp was probably previously frozen, thawed, then breaded fried. Whatever, I liked it and we both ate it. He ordered the chefs trio, blackened. Things he liked about the plate: the asparagus was excellent, sausage was good, and the remoulade was 👌. The shrimp and mahi mahi seemed more overcooked and flavorless than truly blackened (his opinion). He says it may have been better grilled. I ordered the horseradish encrusted tuna; delicious 🤤. The wasabi cream sauce drizzled on top and the plated sauce were both tasty. All in all, I liked it. It seems like a nice place for a big celebration, family event, or (like us) a nice way to end a great day at the beach.

The Bridge Tender is a very classy restaurant with some of the best seafood in Wilmington. Everything I have tried has been good, but I would definitely recommend the crab dip and clam chowder for appetizers.

I don’t like to give 5 stars out easily but when I think about the food, service and atmosphere I can’t think of anything that would deduct. I had the Horseradish Tuna because it seemed intriguing. Amazing! The waiter described it perfectly and I’d get it again. Medium rare. If I get back out there I’ll definitely get this dish again. It is a nice environment on the river. Great place to eat. It is pricey but I don’t even think about it when everything is as good as it was, based on this I would say it’s actually a deal.

Enjoyable atmosphere. Service was very good. The entries were excellent. Great restaurant to entertain out of town friends and family. Ample parking and easy to get too.

The bridge tender is really hard to beat! Their seafood is simply delicious, and fresh!! Earlier that morning my family and I took a charter boat to learn how to catch fish. This restaurant is right on the marina. You can see the fresh oysters right there on the marina! Everything that we ordered was 5 stars. Not one complaint from anyone at our table about anything. Our table of 10 probably spent about a $1000 dollars there that night but it was totally worth it. Our waitress was super personable and patient (we had 2 small kids with us) the steak was cooked perfectly and the herb butter they put on top was to DIE for. I couldn’t get enough of it. The scallops were prepared and cooked perfectly. I don’t think I’ve ever had scallops that delicious. The whole experience was fabulous. Will definitely be back when in town!!

We had a wonderful meal and experience. We got there early for our reservation and the hostess was friendly and found a way to work us in. Graham was our waiter and he did a great job. I asked him if he preferred the tuna or the flounder. He said the tuna was one of his favorites and wow i agree with him. It was delicious the flavors all worked together and I will be back soon to get it again. The key lime pie was darn good as well. If you are looking for a delicious meal with a good view and great staff the bridge tender is a smart choice

This is a five star restaurant that also has a beautiful view of the intercostal water way and the Wrightsville beach draw bridge. The food is amazing. Everything I have ever ordered has been excellent. Their clam chowder is my favorite in the area. Some of my other favorite dishes are the stuffed flounder, prime rib, oyster Rockefeller and for dessert the bread pudding is amazing. The service is outstanding. This is also a great place for outside dining. Like I said the view and environment is wonderful. This is a must try if you are visiting or live in the area.
