Customer Review Summary
Overall, Ruth's Chris Steak House receives mixed reviews. Many customers praise the excellent service and attentive staff, highlighting individual servers who provided memorable experiences. The ambiance of the restaurant is consistently noted as lovely and worth revisiting. Food quality is a point of contention; while some diners enjoyed perfectly cooked steaks and delicious sides, others found their meals underseasoned or disappointing. Special occasions, like birthdays and anniversaries, are celebrated well, with personal touches from the staff enhancing the experience. However, some guests felt the prices were excessive compared to the food quality, particularly for sides and certain dishes. There are also mixed feelings about specific menu items, with some praises and criticisms regarding the seafood and steak preparations. In summary, while many appreciate the overall dining experience, others have reservations about food consistency and pricing.

I went to the Wilmington Ruth's Chris for the first time for my solo birthday dinner. Mike with the deep Barry White voice was my server extraordinaire. He created an incredible experience for me with his attentiveness, attention to detail, and charming personality. Before the meal,..the bread...oh the bread! The raisin/hazelnut slices were delicious. For the main course, I had the 6-oz petite filet and creamed spinach. The steak was cooked to perfection, and the spinach was creamy and very flavorful! The birthday dessert was pure decadence! I will dine at Ruth's Chris over and over again!

First of all I wanna say that the service is excellent! Miriah was our waitress and she was amazing. She gave great and honest recommendations since it was our first time at Ruth's Chris, she took pictures for us and everything...love her 😊. The ambiance alone is worth returning, I even loved the bathrooms. They're individual, spacious and we're clean and nice. We went Saturday 2-15-25...they were out of a lot of options because it was the day after Valentine's Day and they were even busy the day after also so we couldn't get the t-bone or porterhouse that we wanted. They were even out of A-1 sauce. We started with the crab beignet (they were so good) then we had Ceasar salad (one is big enough for two and it was delicious) then we had the 16oz ribeye, filet mignon, garlic mashed potatoes (made them loaded), brussel sprouts and lobster mac & cheese (all sides are big enough for two). I have to say that everything was underseasoned. The steaks were very tender but we were underwhelmed with the taste of our entrée. We 're going to give them another try because it might have been the busyness of the weekend and like I said the ambiance and the service were really good so I do want to give it another try. For $286 I want to love the taste of my food (we also had a strawberry margarita, black cherry old fashioned and sweet tea. The drinks are strong so you get your monies worth)

My wife and I had a blast. The food was hot and delicious. Our server was very attentive and even gave us a mini cheesecake on the house. Locality was great, and the restaurant was nice inside and out. You will spend a pretty penny no matter what you get, but for a special occasion, it was well worth it. I will definitely consider it again for future occasions that deserve fine dining.

Shelly took very good care of us this year. Thanks for the excellent service and experience. We celebrated our anniversary here again this year, and they didn't disappoint. Thanks everyone

Fantastic service, a lovely dining area and delicious food. I think the prices are a little out of hand $14 for a baked potato seems a little out of hand. But this is a chain obviously dedicated to spending a lot of money the steak was very good but still not as good as one grilled at home with hardwood charcoal. The lamb was delicious and tender, and it was a lovely celebration for us. I just think it's really pricey. The creme brulee was divine. It was our anniversary so we had to have some dessert. I forgot to take a picture of that! The staff at the restrooms and the hostess stand as well as the wait staff were all extremely Pleasant and customer service oriented. I really appreciated that, because we come from a town where people are extremely rude.

I took my sister to Ruth’s Chris Steak House to celebrate her birthday, and it was the perfect choice for the occasion. The staff were incredibly friendly and made a point to wish her a happy birthday, adding a personal touch to the evening. The food was fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The restaurant's warm and welcoming atmosphere made us feel like family. We also loved the convenient downtown Wilmington location and the great ambiance. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we’ll definitely be back!

I was very disappointed With the food. I ordered the spicy shrimp, it was rubbery and fishy tasting. I asked for chicken with my Caesar salad and was told I could only get that in the bar area. The steak was not cooked to perfection. All in all, it was a very disappointing experience and I don’t plan to return.

Gorgeous space in a quaint riverfront town. Server Amy was attentive and entertaining. The entire team was knowledgeable and helpful. Managers in tailored suits everywhere. Steak was “best I’ve ever had” (my wife Kathy). Four dollar signs, but worth it.
