Ruth's Chris Steak House

I like to try out all types of steakhouses when we go on vacations. I don't mind paying the price for a good service and good food. But good dosnt explain the experience here. The waitress was decent and the best part of the meal was the veal ravioli appetizer. The mash potatoes has so much butter it looked quite unappealing and the steak had so much fat that was inedible. On a 16oz ribeye I was able to eat maybe half of the steak. For a $240 bill for me and my wife i would never go here to eat again. There is many other places that actually care if the food looks and tastes good

Ruth's Chris Steak House provided an upscale dining experience surrounded by an elegant interior and a professional wait staff. Our party of five were seated in a private room and we had the ability ... as seniors ... to have a most pleasant and easier time connecting with those who were hearing impaired. The wine list has a wide selection of reds and whites. The menu is extensive with appetizers and we chose the seared ahi tuna and beef carpaccio for starters. They both were winners. The Caesar salad was perhaps one of the top three I have ever eaten. The shaved parm and anchovies with a creamy dressing and fresh romaine made the salad burst with flavor. My home is in Montana so of course I ordered the 22 oz. Cowboy Rib Eye that came grilled to perfection. There is a vegetarian plate that is also on the menu. No meal at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse is complete without having Bananas Foster prepared at your table for desert. Ruth's Chris Steak House cost a few bucks ... but oh wow...what a night to remember.

I came here to celebrate my brother's birthday. When I walked in I approached the hostess looking for my brother's table as he arrived before me. When I located it I started to walk toward the table. As I am walking to the table the hostess is quick to tell me that there are no hats allowed. This is February so it's cold outside. I was going to take off my hat and coat when I got seated. They didn't even give me a chance to get settled. I thought they were being a little quick to enforce a dress code before I even sat down. The waiter we had was great however. He was very attentive and provided us with great service. Food was a mixed bag. For as much as we paid we expected perfection but that wasn't the case, especially when it came to the steaks and lamb. My mother, who was also there, wanted a steak that was well done. When she got it there was still some pink in there so it had to be sent back. I ordered some lamb chops and I wanted them to be medium well. When I got mine there was still blood. I had to send mine back as well. When we got our food back they were both done to our satisfaction. Overall, my suggestion would be to allow guests to get settled in before trying to make someone take their hat off. Also, be sure that the steaks and lamb are cooked properly the first time.

I ordered takeout from the 7007 Fayetteville Rd, Durham, ,I didn't get her name but the server that took my order was so polite and professional. I ordered two ribeyes. My husband ordered medium rare and it was perfect. I however, order well done and was so disappointed. The pink center that received was just not what I expected. Ruth's Chris has always gotten my steak perfect. This was just not what I wanted to experience for the price.

We’ve been to several locations in the triangle, and while all have been wonderful experiences, this by far was the absolute best. From the moment we walked in until we left, amazing service. The hostesses were so kind, the assistant bringing us water and bread, our server, and the manager who personally came over to ensure our experience was top tier. Sadly, I do not remember everyone’s names to give them credit, but I know the manager on duty was Jimmy. Fine meal, fine folks, excellent experience for a single mama and her little boy. THANK YOU to everyone involved!!!!!
