Hidden away gem of a restaurant. What a wonderful meal. The vibe is rustic. Down to earth menu with a cozy feel while you eat. Start out with pate and cheese relish tray with crackers. We each enjoyed a different entrée which I will include in the description of the pictures there’s plenty to eat, and it’s a very reasonably priced, and the servers are very polite and accommodating.

This was such an unexpected treat. We really weren’t sure what to expect as we drove up a dirt road in the woods and see this barn. It wasn’t clear how to get in and we wondered if were underdressed. But everyone was dressed very casual and welcomed us into the darkest restaurant I have ever been. The menu is very small and we still were a little confused when the unusual appetizer was delivered. But one taste of the pate and I was hooked. The salad was simple but just right. The steak was super tender and the baked potato was great. I highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to returning.

This is a classic. Service was great. Menu is what you expect at a steakhouse and the prices were reasonable. I had the 8 oz ribeye cooked perfectly with the baked potato and a salad. The bar has a cool old mounted helmet collection and is cozy. This is what dining used to be, and still is when you eat there. It's a classic. If you want to have good, honest food, there aren't many places like this. It really takes you back to what a steakhouse should be. You cannot "elevate" perfection.

My friend recommended one of her favorite restaurants, Farm House to have supper nestled in Chapel Hill. The staff is professional, super friendly and attentive. Jean is amazing! I'm happy we got there before it got busy because we got a good chat in. The ambiance is relaxed, inviting, and comfortable as you feel right at home. I had salad, rib eye (it was flavorful and perfect...my compliments to the Chef), baked potato and it was so delicious! Of course, I had their homemade sweet tea, as any self righteous, Southerner would get. LOL As always, I couldn't finish it all. So brought the rest home. I'll let the pics speak for how amazing the food is (looks virtually) and how popular this place is because I took pics of the parking lot and it's overflow lot. People come because of it's southern hospitality and delicious cuisine! 😋

We recently celebrated my wife's birthday at the Farm House in Chapel Hill with two friends, our first experience at Farm House. The atmosphere was warm and fairly nice, creating a pleasant setting for our evening. Unfortunately, the meal was hit or miss. The shrimp was noticeably overcooked, and my wife's steak, ordered medium, arrived well done. To their credit, the staff offered to replace the steak, which we appreciated. One standout, however, was the sweet potato – it was absolutely delicious and the highlight of our meal. While some of the food didn’t meet expectations, the restaurant's ambiance and their willingness to correct mistakes leave us open to potentially giving it another try.

We were told we didn’t need a reservation……no one said “we don’t take same night”. The person said oh you don’t need a reservation tonight. We drove all the way out here and it’s packed. Unfortunate with the bad communication….just a bad start to the night. Now we’re just here waiting over 15 minutes so far after being told it’s moving quick. (Again we would have left ). Please communicate better with your customers. We’ve now been told we’re “next”. Three people called before us. I understand busy but be transparent…..

It was truly the best steak I've ever had. The perfect seasoning and delicious baked potato. Even my uncle, who is a "steak conosor," absolutely loved the steak and said it was perfect. That's a high compliment for a slightly finicky 76 year old.
