SOGO Japanese Seafood Steakhouse

Went here for lunch and I was really disappointed. SOGO never lets me down but here’s the pictures of my steak. I got it to go and of course I wasn’t going to take it back. So much fatty chewy pieces I couldn’t eat.

I have been multiple times all for take out. The take out takes slightly longer than other places but none the less it’s at least hot and decent. This time I placed my order at 7:30 and did not receive it until 8:15. I then checked and they gave me a side order of vegetables instead of a side of shrimp so I had to wait another 10 minutes. It’s decent food but not worth waiting almost an hour to take out.

Food is great, they cook your food right in front of you. Each table holds 9 people at a time. They have an option to share a plate, but stops at 6pm. Last time I went we waited 2 hours for our food. I kept seeing people that came in after me get their food/cook before myself. 1 person from my table ending up leaving. I'm not sure why we kept getting passed by. Other than this incident the food was really good and you get so much. I always have so much I have to take food home.

We have a few go to meals when we are traveling and at home and one of those is hibachi! We love it and try and visit new hibachis everywhere we visit. We stopped in for lunch and my boyfriend got the chicken teriyaki which came with honey carrots, veggies, rice/noodles and a side salad. The attendant at the desk who took the to go order was very pleasant. Cute little restaurant too, they also have the option to be seated and have the chef cook in front of you. We will be back while we are in town. Unfortunately I didn’t get any photos because we were so eager to dig in!

It had been sitting on the counter ready for a long time; she just didn't bother to call as she said she would.

This is the best Hibachi restaurant in the area. They have the best prices, the food is cooked perfectly, and portion sizes are plentiful! It's great for big crowds! The chefs are interactive when cooking, it's a part of the experience. I think it's a place for the whole family!

1. Here's your HOUR AND HALF wait!!! 2 Servers and 2 cooks on a weekend night!!! More empty tables than there are employees. 2. Sanitation score TANKED in the last two weeks. ENOUGH OF THIS. Get and retain some employees. There's too many other places to eat.
