Resort venue serving Southern comfort food & mason jar cocktails in a polished, loungelike setting.
Customer Review Summary
Rocky River Grille received mixed reviews from diners. Many praised the buffalo wings and fries, noting they were excellent and worth the price. However, the food quality was inconsistent, with complaints about tough steak and a lack of regular menu items during a busy event. Service experiences varied significantly; some reported rude and condescending staff, while others noted the restaurant was understaffed, leading to long waits and poor service. The high prices of certain dishes drew criticism, especially when compared to other restaurants. Overall, while the food garnered some positive remarks, the service and pricing issues created notable dissatisfaction among several customers.

Came here for Mad Monster and didn't want to leave to get food so my brother and I ate here. We both got the buffalo wings and they were some of the best wings I've ever had. Not to mention, the fries were *chefs kiss* my only complaint is the prices but it's well worth the money, 10/10 would recommend.

My daughter and I shared the 16oz Ribeye that was $62 with two sides. It was so tough. We ordered it medium rare. Luckily my husband pasta was delicious so we ate that. If I’m paying $62 I want my steak to be amazing.

Went to a music competition for the weekend. Completed the weekend looking forward to a nice steak dinner that was on the menu. Got to the restaurant and only got the lounge menu. Asked for steak that could have easily been prepared but no offer was made to make the steak that was offered on the regular menu. I got a hamburger. They did what was convenient for them not the customers. Spoke to the manager. The chef decided to reduce the menu to bar food. It was a major disappointment and they didn’t care.

Came to the Embassy for a staycation to relax & go to the spa. The Botanica Spa was nice but you can hear kids from the pool that’s connected so it was hard to really relax but LaToya was amazing. Tried to eat at the Rocky River Grille but the Bartender/Server named Eric H. was the absolute WORST. His attitude was nasty and condescending. He completely ruined my experience at this hotel for my staycation. He harassed me & seemed racist. He stated that he has been there for 10 years without any write ups, which is surprising bc I wonder how many other black people or people in general he has done this too. This hotel is too nice to have servers like him there. Thank you to the hotel receptionist Bobbi, hotel Manager Sharcori (not sure how you spell his name) and the Restaurant manager for listening to my concerns. Please replace him with someone with better customer service.

spot was dirty, no one greeted us and we didn’t know what to do and who to talk to. we had a question for the chef about an allergy and they didn’t ask the chef. it took an hour to get one sandwich and we didn’t even get a refill of water while we were waiting.

Seemed like a nice place and was hoping for it to be. Walked over while waiting to check in and the guy told me they didn't open till 4. I got that and asked if there was anywhere else in the hotel to get a beer and he said around the corner at the coffee/snack bar area and I said I saw a sign on door that they were closed and all he said well " we don't open till 4". Anyways went back to wait in line for check in. Went to room and got changed and came back down around 430-5 and we felt like we were invisible. Finally got some drinks and when more friends joined they too had to wait for a bit. Then later when wanting to order food they said they couldn't take orders because it was too busy. Ridiculous as we looked around. Even the guy next to us was shaking his head because all he got was french fries. I'm working on calling to find out why/how my bill was $100 and some change for me with just a few beers and no food.

So overpriced! Steak $75! A simple chicken dish was $40, and I'm going to New Orleans to a famous restaurant and their chicken dish is $30. But the fries were the best and the bartender was great. The chicken quesadilla was decent but nothing special. Understaffed and no waitstaff on a Saturday night, but you can order at the bar and sit in the dining room. The beers on tap were great and we had a good time.

I am giving the restaurant 1 star not because of the food . It was great . What was not great was being asked to pay for our meal on our wedding anniversary in advance. That has never happened in the years we have had meals at Rocky River Grille . After asking for to go boxes the other lady who seated us asked if I was ready for my bill so clearly the lady working Saturday with dark hair was being selective in who she asked to pay in advance. The couple sitting next to us with 2 small children she did not ask them to pay in advance. We asked them if she did . Maybe when management finally returns my call they can explain to this long time Hilton Rewards member why I had to pay in advance . If they dont , I will ask someone at the Hilton Corporate Office .
