131 MAIN Restaurant

Took my husband here for his birthday and it did not disappoint! Our Server, Kat, was amazing and recommend some appetizers. We decided to try the Smoke Salmon and the Cast Iron Corn Bread. The Smoked Salmon was amazing- if you like medium cooked salmon and the Cast Iron Corn Bread was AMAZING! It had a hint of spice to it yet was sweet. We then got the Maryland Crab Cakes & Southern Shrimp & Grits. My Crab cakes were full of crab so definitely a good choice. My husband's Shrimp & Grits were super flavorful. The ambiance was intimate, business causal wear, efficient, and cozy. Defintely would come back again.

This was my very first visit to 131 Main. I have a friend that swears by this restaurant. When she asked where I’d like to eat for my birthday, I said let’s try it! I happen to be a top Google contributor. Not going to lie, I’m spoiled by food establishments. What I notice right away is how everyone I encountered at 131 Main seems to want to make our visit exceptional. Our server Shane was top notch! He took amazing care of us! He kept on checking to see if we needed anything else. He is super attentive! I tried & loved the corn bread brought out in a cast iron skillet, and the Double Dip fire roasted pepper dip, guacamole, salsa, & tortilla chips was fresh tasting & good. My friend had the Ahi tuna salad, and I tasted and it was really amazing. I went with the cannon sandwich and I wasn’t too excited over it, I would highly recommend the chef look into actually serving it hot or perhaps toasted. I was honestly jealous that I didn’t have that Ahi Tuna salad. I read that they offer boat to table seafood & everything is made from scratch daily. I may have to return to try more off the menu. This was my very first visit to 131 Main. I have a friend that swears by this restaurant. When she asked where I’d like to eat for my birthday, I said let’s try it! Had dinner at 131 MAIN-Southfork based on a friend’s recommendation. And we are so glad we did. The ambiance was very relaxing with the jazz music playing softly. Our servers (counted 4) were so attentive, polite, having a sense of humor, and were extremely helpful. Our food was delicious. We started with the recommended cast iron cornbread. And it was better than what we expected. My husband and I jokingly call it our undercover dessert because it has a sweet taste, especially with a drizzle of honey. I had the shrimp and grits. I want to say thank you for peeling the whole shrimp. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his wedged salad and blackened chicken pasta. Our adult beverages were good. For me, I will definitely ask for the sugar for my margarita next time rather than having the salt (personal preference). Ended our evening with casual conversation around the fire pit. We will definitely be back the next time we are in the Charlotte area. Thanks again for a positive dining experience in Queen City 👑🏙️👌🏾❤️.

This restaurant has always been for years my favorite. They won my heart and taste buds from the beginning just from the absolutely best ribs I’ve ever had and the staff always amazing. But this evening they became family🥹. Since I moved to Columbia sc, I have to make an hour and a half trip to visit, which I do so once every few months because I miss this restaurant so much. Currently 4 months pregnant and craving my ribs and my birthday in a few days i figured id make the trip. I came in to a busy Saturday, there was a wait but it was so worth it. Serena was my server, what a sweet spirit! Being alone i sometimes feel like the odd one out. She was like a close friend I was coming to visit and her service was amazing. I work in the service industry, so I appreciated her that much more for it. I told her I’d made the trip for my ribs, I suppose word got to management and I am so sorry I cannot remember this angelic young woman’s name but she wore glasses with dark hair. Both these women were angels.. the past few months have been exceptionally difficult for me and the comfort of food is what I was seeking. This woman then explained to me that the restaurant was wanting to take care of my entire bill for me😭😭😭. It took everything I had not to cry my eyes out, in a world where it is sometimes hard to simply connect with another human being in such a pristine and classy establishment as much as they are amazing I just was not expecting such a kind gesture… I hope they know what a an impact they had on me. Not because of a free meal but making me FEEL.. less alone when I came all by myself. The manager or one of the management team was right, you never know what someone is going through in their life. Thank you to those sweet hostesses, Serena, and that management team. 🙏🏽🙏🏽

I just love the food here and the service is always great! Tonight I sat at the bar and was serviced by Natalie. I had the roasted chicken. It was well seasoned. Large portion and it came with the red mashed potatoes. This is now my top restaurant and once you try it you’ll fall in love.

After visiting 131 Main Lake Norman, we went to the Southpark location as a family for the first time. Compared to Lake Norman, this place was more spacious and comfortable. We arrived 2-3 minutes before our reservation time and were seated immediately without waiting. The service was quick and friendly. As always, we started with cornbread and chips with salsa. I ordered the Burning Chair cocktail, and my spouse got a margarita. The corn chips were warm, and the salsa and guacamole were very tasty. For the main course, the salmon was perfectly cooked, and I had it served with mashed potatoes; it was delicious. The kids ordered ribeye and cheeseburgers, and both loved their meals. For dessert, warm brownie with ice cream was a must. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals and had a lovely evening. After the Lake Norman location, I would definitely recommend the Southpark 131 Main as well.
