Food quality is generally well-regarded, with standout dishes including scallops, pasta, and burgers, although some meals, like the Tuna Poke Rice Cakes, received mixed reviews regarding their preparation. Our visit to The York was highlighted by the ambiance of the restaurant and the FANTASTIC service from our server Daisia (remember Greenville). The cocktails were good, especially during the happy hour discount. The raw bar was very good, and our entrees were good. Pricing is reasonable, especially if you take advantage of the deals during happy hour. We enjoyed our night, and would certainly return.

This place was one of our favorite restaurants we visited in Syracuse. The bar staff was also amazing. Jasmine served us and was exceptional. The oysters, scallops, pasta, and cocktails did not disappoint. All of it was great!

Food first. The York has a great atmosphere and a cozy environment with delicious food overall. However, the rice in the Tuna Poke Rice Cakes didn’t taste like sticky rice as the server mentioned, more like hard leftover rice. The poutine is highly recommended and definitely worth trying. I had Salmon as my main, it was tasty but felt a little salty towards the end. The worst experience would be the service. Me and my friend dined here on a Sunday evening and there wasn’t so many people. We were arranged at a table near the window which is nice. But the service felt a bit rushed. The server checked in with us so frequently, makes us felt being hurried and uncomfortable. For example, our mains were brought out before we even had not finished our starters. This rushed approach might have contributed to a serious mistake during checkout: : the server gave us the wrong bill, which felt quite unprofessional. Even though we still tipped this server, the lowest tip option suggested was 20%, felt like undeserved given the service that evening.

It was my friend’s birthday and we decided to give it a chance, it exceeded our expectations! The place is beautiful, drinks and food were delicious…I would say it was one of the best burgers I’ve had! To make things even better, our super amazing server surprised my friend during dessert 🤩

Cannot speak highly enough of my experience here this evening! Kind, cordial, and super friendly service. Amazing happy hour. Buck a shuck were on point, burger and beer combo was amazing! I had a burger the night before at a place “known” for their burgers. This one blew it away, likely one of the best burgers you can get in town and CERTAINLY the best value burger around!

Not sure why this place isn’t 5-stars!!! The York is a fantastic spot that exceeded my expectations. During happy hour, they offer fresh oysters for just $1 each, which is an unbeatable deal. The scallops were also a standout—fresh and perfectly spiced. The cocktails were expertly crafted, and the atmosphere was vibrant and inviting. The service was top-notch, making the entire experience truly enjoyable. Highly recommend checking out the York!

Went for a birthday party w a party of 4. It took us more then a hour to get our food and everybody got their food at different times. We couldn’t even eat together. They also were going back and forth to different tables that came after us before some of us even got ours. I also found a bone in my chicken for Calabrian Rigate and The drinks were watered down.

Quite a disappointing experience here. The pork chops were undercooked and the fish was stale. They also add a credit card charge which is strange to see in such an expensive joint.
