Customer Review Summary
Prime Steak House offers a mix of experiences, receiving both high praise and strong criticism. Many reviewers rave about the warm ambiance, exceptional service, and flavorful steaks, particularly highlighting the tenderloin and T-Bone steaks. Diners often enjoy the unique appetizers, cocktails, and desserts, like the sundae bar and corn crème brûlée, with several expressing eagerness to return. However, significant complaints center around the owner's rude behavior and issues with food preparation, including overcooked and improperly cooked steaks, which led to dissatisfaction among some guests. Additionally, there are remarks on mediocre service experiences, such as missing items and poorly presented dishes. Overall, while some find it to be a top-notch steakhouse, others caution against visiting due to inconsistent quality and service.

Prime Steakhouse exceeded all expectations! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, setting the stage for an incredible dining experience. The service was top-notch—attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. I ordered the sliced tenderloin, and it was perfection. So tender, so juicy, and packed with flavor. I’m not usually a fan of gravy, but their sauce was on another level—rich, savory, and the perfect complement to the steak. And of course, the famous sundae bar lived up to the hype! A fun and delicious way to end an already amazing meal. If you’re looking for a top-tier steakhouse experience, this is the place. I can’t wait to come back!

I would give 0 stars if I could. The owner is the rudest man I have ever met. We went out for Valentine’s Day dinner and my dates steak was way too rare. My date threw up all the steak he ate. After waiting 30 minutes, the owner came over to our table and got in my dates face, didn’t even apologize for our dissatisfaction and yelled at us in front of everyone. Claiming that he was sitting next to a doctor and food poisoning does not happen right after eating. My date was not sick from food poisoning, he was sick from the steak not being cooked enough. The owner took off our $20 appetizer but not the $60 steak that he threw up and didn’t eat. Then he proceeded to threaten us by calling the cops if we left without paying. The owner is known for being rude to the servers as well, which we realized after reading other one star reviews. We are very disappointed in how we were treated, I will never go here again. If you eat here, your money is not going to a good place by supporting this business.

I ordered a filet steak, medium well. It arrived rare, they took it back, overcooked it and charged me full price. The waitstaff said they wouldn't remove the charge however, they took off the ice tea from the bill. I will never eat at this restaurant again.

So what can I say it's one of those places if you know someone you can get a seat. After working the Taste of Syracuse event for 2 days, almost 10 hours each day and the client wanted to reward the staff with a dinner and said we should try Prime. at the door the host told us they had no seats for our group of 6 and going to refuse us service when the client asked for Danny by name where he got us a seat immediately and we had a rather delightful meal the seafood tower was delicious and the surf and turf was on point even if I ordered it medium well. I know, don't hate me. So lucky for us, our guy knew a guy that was the owner, or we never would have had such a yummy meal.

Wildly mediocre! And when you factor in price, sub-par! - table set with bread plate, but they don't serve bread - Saratoga water served warm, and bottle shaken do it exploded on opening - asked for lemon and lime, twice, got only lemon... Twice. - "heirloom" tomatoes were cherry tomatoes - classy plastic salt and pepper shakers - dirty water in vase for flowers on table - asparagus was underdone - no half sized portions for solo diners - steak was great. 👍 - carrot cake hint: bigger is not better! Not good. Mediocre establishment. I'm more than comfortable dumping $200 on a nice meal for myself, but it's not worth it here. Spend your $ elsewhere.

Dining at Prime was an unforgettable experience. The ambiance was inviting, and the staff was attentive. We started with the short rib tacos, which was perfectly seasoned. The highlight was the Prime T-Bone steak, cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The roasted Brussel sprouts was a delicious complement. To finish, we enjoyed the pumpkin cheesecake, which was a delightful way to end the meal. Overall, Prime exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend it for anyone seeking an exceptional steak dinner. I can't wait to return!

Prime Steakhouse in Syracuse is hands down the best restaurant in Central New York. Everything about it is amazing—classy ambiance, incredible food, and outstanding service. The appetizers are always on point. I’m pretty sure I’ve tried the entire menu at this point, and it’s all so good. The steaks are obviously the star of the show—perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. But my absolute favorite? The corn crème brûlée. It’s so unique and insanely good. I can’t go there without ordering it. The cocktails are just as impressive, especially the espresso martini. It’s smooth, rich, and perfectly made every time. On top of all that, the service is always top-notch—attentive and friendly without being overbearing. Prime is my go-to spot for any occasion or when I just want an amazing meal. Highly recommend!

This place. This is your spot. When you want to feel like a king, you come here. Absolutely tremendous steakhouse. It all started with the oysters on a half shell. Delectable. The they brought out the basket of house made bread. After that it was the main course - bone-in Cowboy ribeye with cold water lobster tail. Paired with asparagus and lobster mac and cheese. To end the evening, I believe it was a house made strawberry shortcake. Danny and his crew put on the ritz and go the extra mile. Can’t wait to return.
