Dropped in to escape the rain on a Monday afternoon. The food was fresh and the portions were big. Service was slow but it was lunch time.

Hello I visited this restaurant today June 21st for my birthday for the first time while visiting Buffalo. We arrived and had to wait a bit but didn't mind because I really wanted to eat here so we waited about 40 minutes, no biggie. We got seated and let me say we somehow got the absolute perfect server named Liz. She was so polite, professional, kind. She warned us the kitchen was backed up which was totally fine the place was packed and we really didn't wait long AT ALL for our food. She was extremely attentive and absolutely perfect despite being so busy and having some rude customers near by. She also made my birthday a little extra special and took some time when it died down to talk with us. If you have employee of the month she absolutely deserves it and give this girl a raise!!! PS the food (shrimp tacos and Hungarian pepper dip) and drink (hurricane alcoholic beverage) I got was 12/10 would definitely go back again when I'm in the area, Buffalo is lucky to have this place!

The liberty Hound Restaurant is gorgeously situated on the water on the Erie Basin Harbor Walk. We sat at a table overlooking the battleships on their outdoor patio. The ambience was impressive. Service was prompt and friendly. We started with a drink from their Rum Menu and our Favorite the "Liberty Lady" comprised of White Rum, Lime, Soda. Muddled Mint, Srawberries, and Bleberries. It's a fabulous tasting drink not to heavy on the Rum. The mint and berries were crushed together in a medfley of floating color and flavors. Loved it. The Calamari on the other hand left more to be desired. It was overcooked with too much batter which overpowered the Calamari. The batter lost its form off the Calamri and crumbled into piles. This Calamari had a hard act to follow from our 5star visit to Ellicott Brewing company. We will definitely be back here though to try some other items on Liberty Hounds Menu.

Got together with some friends and went here for dinner. It's mostly a seafood menu, however there are a few non seafood dishes to choose from. I went with the pork chop and grilled asparagus, and it was delicious. The food was great, the service was great, the atmosphere is really cool, it's located in a great spot... just look for the battleships.

Date of visit. Sun Aug 6th Beautiful summer days in Buffalo are best spent on the waterfront. Canalside is an amazing place to spend some time. While we usually find wayerfront restaurants to be bland, boring, and too touristy because their location and views are the draw, this is not the case with Liberty Hound. It has all of the beauty you hope for, but they also k ock it out of the park with the food. We started with the Ahi Tuna nachos, because it was something you dont see very often. The nacho chips are clearly made fresh to order, and the tuna was perfectly done. For our meals, we had the carribean rice bowl with blackened grouper; The shrimp po boy; and the fish & chips. The meals at Liberty hound are nothing short of elevated casual dining. Its not pretentious or expensuve, just good meals well prepared using quality and different ingredients. I didnt expect to be wowed by the shrimp po boy but this was the kind of po boy that authentic cajuns would love. We enjoyed sitting on their patio - which was worth the little wait we had, as we looked out on the water enjoying watching people, the gulls, and taking in the view. The service at liberty hound was exceptional. The food top notch. The only complaint I had was that the Fish in the fish & chips was a little overcooked. otherwise great. And canalside is always a joy to explore when you visit buffalo.

Went for for lunch after visiting the children's museum across the street. We were hungry so we decide to just cross the street and see if we could get a seat. It was pretty busy we waited 5 minutes to be seated, but it was out in the hot sun. We were so hungry we didn't care if we sat in the hot sun. It was an hour wait for inside or outside shaded area. We had a good lunch and the view was amazing.

Stopped in here on a hot Sunday afternoon for dinner and it was so worth it. I ordered beer battered fish and chips and it was delicious. Cost to eat here was surprisingly reasonable, everything is priced competitive and I would say for the experience you get, it's worth it. The portion they gave was more then generous, if I wasn't starving for food I would have taken some of it to go. The staff was excellent, whenever my water glass was empty they filled it up, they checked in and always made sure we had everything we needed. The outdoor experience was great, boats coming and going by, plenty of seagulls flying around and a few ducks. The navel park is right next door which just adds to the great views. Next time I'm in Buffalo I will certainly come back.

Great restaurant by the canal. The Jimbalaya was delicious . So were the burger and truffle fries.,the Chicken with Brie cheese, the buffalo shrimps. The drinks were done a bit differently. They gave us an improved version ... we ate till the last bite. My favorite restaurant by the canal
