Customer Review Summary
Angeline offers a mix of dining experiences, with standout dishes like fire-roasted clams and the gnocchi receiving widespread praise. While appetizers like beef tartare were mediocre and some mains, like seafood pasta and duck, faced criticism for seasoning and texture, many dishes were cooked perfectly. The atmosphere is stylish and well-designed, although noise levels can be an issue when busy. Service consistently receives high marks, contributing to a welcoming environment, even for families. Overall, diners appreciate the quality and presentation of the food, though they note prices can be high, making it a place worth visiting for a special occasion.

We had fire-roasted clams and mussels, tiramisu, veal scallopini, Atlantic swordfish, and one of the pastas. All of us loved the clams and mussels; the portion was generous, and they were absolutely delicious—almost the best dish we ordered. The veal scallopini was excellent as well; the veal was very tender and flavorful, and the gnocchi was the best I’ve ever had. However, the pasta and swordfish were not particularly special. The tiramisu could have been much better, though I still enjoyed it because I love the flavor of tiramisu in general. Overall, if I had only ordered the gnocchi and the clams and mussels, I would have given the experience 6 stars out of 5!

One of the best dining experiences I have had in a while. The food here is fantastic - full stop. Everything was cooked to perfection and the presentation and table side preparation were great. Service was also great, we came with a young child and were accommodated in a way that made us feel welcomed and comfortable, something that regularly doesn’t happen when at a fine dining restaurant. It’s well worth the prices.

Service 5/5, Atmosphere 5/5. We got beef tartare and mussels and clams for appetizers. Beef tartare was okay but clams were really sandy😂 It was hard to justify the price for mains. Our mains were seafood pasta and duck.. Pasta was very salty and seafood really tough…Duck was cooled well but underseasoned. Would have been hard to get through whole meal. Anyway we are still giving them 4 stars because the service staff was stellar.

Elite. It’s truly elite and one of the finest restaurants in Buffalo no question. The wine list is top notch which is really refreshing. I ordered the strip steak with potatoes and it was excellent. Cooked to perfection. 2 of my colleagues got the Lamb’s neck which they said they really enjoyed. 2 of my other colleagues got the filet and we’re kind enough to give me a bit and it was excellent. The atmosphere and wait staff were also truly top notch. We ordered a clam appetizer which was really unique and tasty as well as some spicy beans which were also excellent. For dessert member of my table got the olive oil cask with an orange burnt gelato. It was pretty good and different. Our table also ordered the cheese cake, tiramisu, and I got the affogato. Nice! We went early around 545 and it was quiet which was great! I have been told that it can get pretty loud when it’s busy. It’s expensive but, not dramatically more than other top tier restaurants. A welcome addition to the Buffalo dining scene!!!!!

Service was excellent, our waiter earned a$200 tip that was very appropriate. The food was very good. I had heard from a regular from Hutch's, that also owns this restaurant that the food was a bit pricey - but not as good as Hutch's. My opinion, food is a bit pricey, so don't forget to bring your bank, but the food was excellent. I've eaten there when it was Tempo, and the atmosphere was a little different. Great location, near downtown Buffalo. The tables were a bit close, which reminded me of the old Hutch's, but the ceilings were high, and you didn't feel like you were having a front role seat, listening to the nearby table's conversation. The portions were plenty, as nobody ordered dessert 🍨, except for me. I got my dessert to go😋 Last point, the broiled oysters were amazing as well as its presentation. Overall, our group had an enjoyable evening and I would highly recommend. Hutch's is still my favorite go to, and when people from around the world visit Buffalo, always in my top 3 recommendations, but Angeline has the potential. I'll have to visit a few more times to let you know.

Angeline beats Tempo at its best. The restaurant is even more gorgeous. I was excited to see the Epe-Maple floor boards the carried the room at Tempo. But to my surprise the floors had been replaced with a white oak in a herringbone layout with a dark stain. What a high end amazing finish. The restaurant has style and class. The bar has been moved across the restaurant in a way that situates the dining tables away from the lavatories(Brilliant). The service was excellent, the staff was young, diverse and polished. The food was on point with authentic modern Italian cuisine, and I appreciated the throwback nod to Tempos filet with gnocchi on the current menu. I was told it was expensive, but I found the price to be a bargain—

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Angeline Restaurant in Buffalo 🦬 is an exceptional dining experience! We savored the Lobster Pasta 🦞 and Italian Steak 🥩, both of which were absolutely delicious. James, the owner and maître d', greeted us warmly, and our server Zach provided excellent service. To top it off, James treated us to a complimentary Irish ☘️ Green Spot whiskey 🥃, which was a real treat! The hospitality and quality of food were outstanding. Highly recommend this place for a fantastic meal and great atmosphere! 🍝🥂

Food was good, not great, but expensive. They didn’t have my wine choice, even though it is a fairly common one. Environment is nice to look at, but poor acoustics. Music too loud, even after requesting it be lowered. Handicapped access available, but both times I was there (once summer, once winter) the lift was out of commission. Very difficult to negotiate the steps. Service was excellent.
