Black Rock Bar & Grill

I had the steak fillet medallions with shrimp. So yummy and full of flavor after I put the butter and dipped it in the sauce. My husband had the New York strip steak with lobster add on. We had fun cooking our food on the hot black rock. Fun experience and would be a great experience with another couple! We will come again and bring friends. Our food was delicious, the waitress fabulous. The entire experience was terrific. The one change would be the TV channels were playing inappropriate movies! Especially if I had my entire family here with me.

Went for Valentines dinner, was an amazing unique experience to cook our steaks on the rock! Only thing with that is that the steak isn’t marinaded or seasoned so it was just okay. The texture of the steak was melt in your mouth soft and smooth just didn’t have a pop of flavor like I would like. Came with a sauce but was still a bit bland. I will say ☝️ we ordered the chicken appetizer was TO DIE FOR. I will be coming back for that as often as possible. I cannot explain how delightful that chicken was, it was soft and truly melted in your mouth. The sauce was exquisite I think that chicken came directly from the gods.

Salad was beautiful, the chopped blue cheese. Mashed potatoes could have had more butter, I'll add next time, yeah they get a second chance hope to see some atmosphere uplifts. Least more hanging string lights, for the dough jazz it up a bit. Guys pushing the carts with the rocks where sort of mundane weird vibe like they were mortuary workers. Not happy at all, boring job...get it but they sort brought the vibrations low.

I went to Black Rock for a birthday celebration, had Sophia as our waitress. She was very sweet and did a great job handling our large party. We had several big screen TV’s to watch the football game as well. Food, drinks, service and atmosphere were all excellent! Will definitely be back!

I had Sophia as a server she is so attentive & kind! I had a great experience because of her service I will be returning just because of her! JD the manager is helpful too.

Reservations are for 25 and at 6:30 on a Sunday. Our Main course is brought out until After 9:00. Order had to be substituted and then they still were wrong. This place claims the reason was all the staff has gotten sick and was either sent home or didn't come in. I wouldn't recommend this location for anything. Slow -Poor Servic. The food may have been good but after sitting the cold room for more than 2 hours I just wanted to leave. Sweet sixteen dinner was for me a sour note. Don't even look for a tip or a return visit. Despite this request, my husband's meal was still served on a black rock. Given the already long wait time and our son becoming restless, we decided not to send it back. I ordered my steak medium rare, but it was tough and lacked flavor—not what I expected for a $35 steak. Additionally, we had two servers, as one was training, yet our order was still incorrect. At this price point, I expect a high-quality dining experience, but unfortunately, this visit did not meet those expectations.

I’m pretty sad because I’ve had MUCH better past experiences. I took my girlfriend out for her birthday, and we had a reservation for 7pm. The waiter told us it was his second day, which I really appreciated. He took our order, and then we waited. And waited. Then waited some more. Our appetizers came out cold, and we never got our entrees. At 8pm we told our waiter that we would like to close the check because we had birthday plans later that evening. We waited another 15-20min for the manager to come over to help us close our check and explained the kitchen was busy. I don’t want to say she was lying, but I find it hard to believe because the restaurant was practically empty the whole time we were there. Plus another party of 5 was seated and served VERY quickly about 45min into our stay. Not to mention, the kitchen didn’t even have to cook anything? In the past we got our food in 5-10 minutes because all they do is just slap the raw steak on the rock and bring it over so WE can do the cooking. Needless to say, I’m very disappointed in tonight’s service. It’ll be a while before we come back for sure :(
