Took my mom out for her 80th birthday. She wanted fish and she remembered liking the fish here. So we went over to Walker! ( Not the Texas Ranger- yeah, this is a joke for you, um, more mature readers) She really enjoyed her perch dinner and so did my dad. My lovely wife enjoyed her dinner of salmon and brussel sprouts. I thought my dinner of ribs was good. Waitress was great and just the right amount of attentiveness. And my mom got a free dessert! Forgot you take pictures of that. But it was a brownie with ice cream. You kinda know what that looks like, right? It was good.

Service was decent. Interior looked cozy. Food was subpar. Well, the appetizer (bang shrimp), was decent but my appetizer was not worth it. My partner ordered the reuben, and I had mango chutney Mahi. I couldn't finish the fish since it was extremely overcooked and thus tough.

My fiance' and I were here for a date night, January 2025. It was our first time here and I really loved the ambiance. The Arts and Crafts styling makes it so cozy. We had a nice table right by the fireplace. Our dinners were very good. We started with the spinach artichoke dip. My fiance' had the blackened salmon and I had the creamy garlic jumbo shrimp. The prices are reasonable and the portions are generous. I had the Snowflake cocktail as a dessert and it was delicious! I would definitely recommend the Walker Roadhouse!

My husband and I dined here last night. After a long week of driving back and forth to work in the icy cold conditions, the warm coziness of the dining room was very inviting. My husband had the meatloaf and got a very generous tasty portion. I ordered the tenderloin and it was cooked to perfection! The chimchiri was a nice accent to the dish. The brussel sprouts were very well seasoned, not under done. We capped the night off with snickerdoodle cheesecake. From start to finish you could tell everything was thoughtfully prepared and executed; unlike some of these chain places up on Alpine. Our server was very attentive and pleasant. We will definitely be back soon!

What a great experience! Absolutely nothing that would have made our visit better. I had the Haystack Burger, a half pound burger smothered in melted cheddar, fried onions, bacon & mushrooms. So juicy, soooo good. And sweet potato fries! With tin ceilings and oak trim, a little oasis of good & relaxing dining. Great service and reasonable prices. Worth the visit.

I don’t usually write reviews but here it is. We had a large party and waited over an hour and a half to be seated (fair because the person who set it up didn’t make a reservation). After ordering right away it took another 30 minutes to get our food which isn’t too horrible. I ordered the bacon wrapped meatloaf. The first time it came out one half was so hard I couldn’t even cut through it. Not sure how that was acceptable to send out. The garlic mashed potatoes were pretty cold and sort of hard for some reason. The Mac n cheese was nothing to write home about either. I politely told our waitress who was very kind and sent it back. She got me a whole new meal! The meatloaf tasted 2/10, the mashed potatoes were at least warm this time, and the Mac was still not great. I ate a couple bites and left the rest since it wasn’t good. My stomach felt bloated and sick on the way home. Fast forward to 2:30am and I find myself puking my guts out… would not recommend the meatloaf. The staff was very friendly though!

Absolutely loved my visit! While the food was good, it was the exceptional service that truly made the evening memorable. The staff went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant dining experience, showing attentiveness and genuine care throughout. Their warm hospitality and efficient service elevated the overall atmosphere, making it a wonderful place to enjoy a meal. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a welcoming and well-cared-for dining experience!
