Beverly Depot Restaurant

We went to Beverly Depot for Valentine's Day, and everything was exceptional from the service to the drinks to the main course to dessert! We've been many times, and personally, I never had a seafood dish. The haddock with crabmeat stuffing was a generous portion and perfectly cooked and so tasty. The Depot Cosmo was a perfect start to the evening and the wine with dinner was a generous pour (which you don't see at a lot of in restaurants these days). Of course the salad bar is the best around and so fresh along with my favorite, the cheddar cheese and fresh baked bread. The shared caramel, coconut, banana and pecan fried ice cream dessert was so unique and beyond delicious, and even the coffee and the coffee drink to cap off the evening had such a great smooth flavor! The staff was super friendly and attentive and paced each course perfectly. The value for such a complete quality meal in such a great atmosphere was phenomenal as well! This is currently my favorite bar and restaurant. It's the definition of unpretentious. They make great martinis, pour generous glasses of wine, and know exactly how to cook a steak. The menu is small and it doesn't change; that is a good thing. They know what they do well and they do it day after day. The salad bar is constantly restocked with fresh greens and veggies, and there's a serve your own bread and cheese station. The space itself is a classic train depot. Service is always good whether they're slammed or slow. I recommend it.

I recently held a surprise birthday party for my son in one of the event rooms… it was great! Meg went above and beyond with helping me plan and setting up the room! Service was amazing!

Online prices and actual menu prices were way off. Online needs to be updated. Very deceiving. Did have a nice meal. Food and salad bar were delicious. Great service But very shocked about the online and actual menu prices need to that need updating

Thanksgiving dinner. ( take -out) First year not cooking, big mistake. The turkey was on the dry side, stuffing, gravy and butternut squash were all good. Whipped potato’s need more butter and cream, dry and thick! Cranberry sauce, one of my favorite’s - missing from the dinner- huge disappointment. The peas and onions were bland and tasteless, butter or sauce might have helped them along. The yellow cake with frosting, a strawberry and whip cream on the side- stale and too sweet. The cake was thick, it wasn’t moist. Would I return? Absolutely not.

My family ordered a mix of steak and fish dishes. Unfortunately, for a price tag of over $30 per plate, the food left a lot to be desired and the portions were small. My fish was bland and mushy. My wife's steak was tough despite asking for medium rare and the seasoning wasn't anything special... and her baked potato was not fully cooked. The service was okay and we were encouraged to leave once we were finished eating and simply enjoying a conversation with my daughter who lives in the area. All-in-all, not a satisfactory experience for such a high price tag.

We have come here twice and it's been consistent each time. Never a wait time and extremely well made food. The service is great and staff are kind. Prime rib, crab cakes, and espresso Martini are in the picture but we also got a new york steak and chocolate martini, both were amazing. Everything is cooked exactly as asked and it's perfect for date night.
